I like some of the newer rules :confused18:

I thought rule 13 on page 2 was interesting.
"No ABS, Traction Control, or All Wheel Drive..." My thoughts are, if you can build it and make any of it work, more power to you. There are some awesome All Wheel Drive hot rods I'd love to see run. No ABS??? I dont stand a chance at beating him but I'd love to compete with Mark Stielow. Perhaps they meant something else with this rule. |
I like a lot of the new rules put in place. All American powered and built is a nice additional. This keeps it clear what the Goodguys shows are all about. Adding the no AWD is huge. The possibilities of a kick ass AWD car are endless and we would all have no chance against it. The no ABS and no traction control are the only ones I may question, but I am ok with it.
Thank you to the Goodguys for giving us an amazing platform to showcase our cars and drive them! |
I like most of the rules, I'm disappointed in the no awd rule since we are in the middle of building an awd car. I guess we will have to play in a different sandbox with it.
|
I wish all of the pt series used the same rules. Or at least not conflicting rules.

I love your AWD build and can't wait to see what it will do. |

AWD, ABS and TC are the next frontier for us. I get why GGuys would stick to thier roots (read: stifle innovation), but I don't agree with it.

I see the new date for Indy...and it is the same weekend as the Loveland, CO event. Are they set-up to handle two events simultaneously or are we going to see a 'watered-down' event?

Ed,
Can you provide so clarity on what a "Purpose Built Vehicle" is from rule 20? I don't think any of us have built a vehicle on accident, but to be at the top end of the standings the cars need to be barely street legal race cars. I am starting on a 1928 Model A that will be light, short, narrow, and hopefully silly fast. Thanks, Craig |
