I'm new to this forum also from the Chicago western suburbs and also building a Mustang based car (Cougar). Where are you at?

I'm up in Downers Grove. Ever go to the Wednesday night Downtown Lemont cruise?

I go there as much as possible, one of my favorite spots. I sold my 79 Lincoln there last summer.
I doubt my car will be done before Aug./Sept., but was hoping to get it up there this summer. BTW, always liked the cougars and almost bought one before I found my 65, believe it or not right by you , in Darien.

Cool. I usually do the cruise night rounds all summer long, Lemont on Wednesday, Downers on Friday, Lombard on Saturday. I hope to be able to drive my Cougar late this year in an unfinished state but I have another car you've probably seen if you've been to any of those cruises in the last 17 years. Its a gold/beige 2 tone 1962 Grand Prix.

If it's the one with the 8 lug cast wheels, then I have seen that car. I believe I've seen it at Lemont too. Very nice car.
