Had been talking about doing the article "Out of the Box Fox" for a couple years with Editor Evan Smith of Muscle Mustangs. We finally decided to pull the trigger and come up with some ideas to help inspire fox body guys with some ideas we came up with. Thought I'd share 'em.

Fox body notchbacks are the modern day 69 camaro. They are great looking cars. A lot a lot better than the hatchbacks!!

Their value is starting to increase a bit. When I sold mine, I lost my arse........

I've seen a few of them that were very well done sell in the mid $20's recently.

I'd have to agree with this. I really don't like their interiors though, lol. The early 4 headlight cars could easily be the 67/68 cars. They look great as well but aren't as "loved" as the later cars.

John, the renderings look great. I love the first one. Very hardcore and the early style really does it for me. The Capri looks nice also. Great job!

The Capri fenders have that nice factory bulge/flare to them, just begging to be widened with some monster tires stuffed under them!

Really liking the Fox bodies again.... esp since I saw this one.

I always thought that the Capri's were the best looking of the fox era. I dig the Capri rendering above.

I did this on my capri. Had 17 BBS wheels, and I cant find pictures on the computer right now. Back then I thought I was joe cool with the cobra brakes.. lol

I like that car and can appreciate the work and innovation that went into it but I would've done a couple things a little different. Saw it at SEMA - cool nonetheless.

I'm in the middle of a pretty serious fox body build myself. Got a '93 LX hatchback. Purchased Maximum Motorsports tubular K-member kit, coilovers, caster camber plates, 5 Lug front spindles/hubs, 03-04 Cobra steering rack, and Wilwood 14" front rotors and 6 piston calipers. The rear 13" rotors and 4 piston rear calipers, braided brake lines and e-brake cables get ordered next week. Then the built rear end next. Selling my '06 GT to get the crate engine and wheels. Needless to say after doing the fox body article I was inspired to get back into those Mustangs again. Might have to put up a build thread this summer.

Always been a fan of the GT's and coupes 87-93 these cars were my nemesis in highschool and I'd have to agree they are the modern day 69 Camaro almost everyone I knew owned one so I have feeling they will be worth alot in the future. They are super rare in good condition. Love the renderings too, the silver GT500 is my favourite.

makes me miss my Capri, I sold it last year so I could get the nova.

I previously owned 2 1981 Capris a few years ago. I always thought they looked awesome - chunkier. I came very close to buying a 1982 Capri right before I bought the 93 LX Hatch. Guy just wouldn't get back to me. I was going to build a Coyote powered brute with it. So I ended up with the 93 to build what I've really been wanting to build for a long time.

Serious is a relative term..it seems. I placed a "considering selling my..." ad on a popular Mustang site and I have a couple of serious buyers...one for my asking price, which is probably reasonable. So I seriously can think of other uses for the money that I have invested in a car that I seriously hardly ever drive but I'm having serious issues pulling the trigger on the sale, lol.

The guy seems nice enough and sounds like he'd give it a good home, completing a few things that I have yet to finish... Just don't know.

Haha, I forgot that I commented on this a while back. Mine has changed up a little... Now if I could just get my new hood painted...
