I got mine from a place called Sube sports. http://www.subesports.com/ They are really cool people. One of them was on the Subaru race team. Mine are the Cobra Datona's and I absolutely love them. Very comfy on long drives, yet a whole lot of lateral support. They also sell billet recline knobs that look great.

I talked to Jim Monday which was cool since it was a holiday. He seems like a great guy and said he would call me the next day.Tuesday rolls around no call so I call Wednesday and leave my numbers again still no return call.Maybe something came up,I will let you guys know what happens.I expect to hear from him givin his track record here.

Fluid Power 06-01-2006 09:57 AM

He is a one man show, running 2 websites. It took a little time for me to get a hold of him as well. I think 2 times. He did call me back however. I hate giving someone a good rep and then the person not responding......

I ordered seats from Jim as well. He was a great guy to deal with. I plan on using him again on my S10 project.

jonny51 06-01-2006 05:01 PM

Yeah Jim was very nice and I wanted to give him my business but I needed to get them orderd. So I went with another company maybe next time.

rwhite692 06-01-2006 05:26 PM

SO Jonny do tell... which Cobras did you wind up with?

jonny51 06-01-2006 05:37 PM

Rob I got the Misano L in black.

awr68 06-01-2006 06:53 PM

Hate to hear this, he is usually pretty easy to get a hold of, although lately I usually email with him...trust me he isn't a flake!

jonny51 06-01-2006 07:07 PM

We had a good talk on Monday,I have no idea what happend. To tell you the truth I am really surprised he has not called me back.No big deal though as Cobra makes all there dealer's sign a contract to sell everything at retail.

71Nova 06-03-2006 01:55 AM

Jonny I did not get the Misano L seats even though they are one of the best seats Cobra makes because I thought they would look to modern or futureistic in a Nova. Mainly because of the side and back of the seat. I thought the look would complement a Z06, Ferarri, or Lambo but not look good in a classic. Since purchasing my Cobra Datona's I saw a pair of Misano L seats in a 69 Camaro and they looked awesome. I was totally wrong in thinking they would not look right. Good choice.

jonny51 06-03-2006 08:05 AM

Thanks 71Nova,I made my choice after sitting in them at SEMA.They are a very comfortable well built seat that suits my body.I have modern interior in my car so they really should fit in,but im glad to hear they looked great in the car you saw.
Well about motorsportseats.com..........Jim never did call me back.

jonny51 06-07-2006 05:10 PM

Just so you guys know I heard form Jim today.I didn't get a chance to return his call but he had some personal issue's come up.

Damn True 06-09-2006 03:09 PM

Im looking to have a fixed back seat on the drivers side and a reclining seat on the passenger side. I would like them to match as closely as possible. Any recomendations? It's awfully tough to tell how closely the shapes of the seats match when looking at tiny photos on these sites.

thanks,
True

Damn True 06-13-2006 04:40 PM

 ttt

Fluid Power 06-14-2006 07:36 AM

call Jim and ask.

Darren

Damn True 06-22-2006 03:26 PM

Ive sent motorsport seats 4 messages via their website "contact us" thing.

No reply.

I'll make a call and see how that goes.

Thats what I did. Check into the seat measurements, because you can defintly tell a size difference between the driver and passanger.

I'll try and get a better pic tommorow to show you what I'm talking about.

Damn True 06-27-2006 10:14 AM

Thanks, I appreciate it. Looks like the fabric is appreciably different as well no?

BTW, Jim did get back to me. We are discussing my options.

I have some concern about the lack of FIA rating on the Corbeau seats that we are discussing.

Fluid Power 06-27-2006 06:33 PM

Jim

Glad to hear he got back with you. He is a one man show, he keeps his word and I can say he had some great prices on the seats I bought.

I think the fabric is the same on both seats. If it is not i'll let you know. I dont know if you care but the drivers seat will probly be taller than the passanger. To some people it looks goofy but I dont care as long as they both function how I want them to.
