BFG Rival availability
 

Ordered from Tirerack 275s and 335s 18's Rivals back in Dec 2013, 275s came in May but 335s still on backorder??

Is Tirerack still the exclusive vendor for Rival? Having installed my front set, waiting for the matching rears is :bur2:

Anyone know whats goin on? They rolled this tire out with PT guys in mind so 335 shouldn't be an odd size to fill what gives? ok rant over for now :bang:

Might not be any more available this year :shakehead: I'm waiting on 265's that were supposed to be ready in March.

They should be giving you calls to update you, they have been calling me. They have been delayed until the 25th I think this time. BF keeps pushing the delivery date back. No choice but to wait if you want them.

You could have Tirerack exchange them for some Michelin PS2's which is a far superior tire overall IMO. They're in stock and ready to ship. :ups:

Tirerack calls me everytime the ship date pushes out.

I have heard everything from different compound for the 335 only, just like the kdw, to the guys in the factory don't like building 335s.

They will be here soon, they used to push the date a month at a time, now it is only a week at a time.

I have a very low tolerance for interweb bovine fecal regurgitation.

Having installed the Rival 275s that shipped in May, I was in the midst of gathering setup/calibration information and I wanted to get the rears for a true pic of the tires capability on all four corners.

Going with the PS2 would have been additional cost and time although I hear they are very good.

I think BFGs Supply Chain Management has not caught up to its marketing as why else would there be a 7-8 month wait and perhaps more for a tire they marketed to great expense to target the autocross guys and our segment of the hobby?

Purported Interweb bovine fecal regurgitation aside, if I am the customer/horse and you lead me to water, don't have me wait 7 + months to drink the koolaid.

Donny, nice work on Richs' 69 BTW I've seen it a bunch.

By the time I get these 335s some of the builds on this forum may actually get done lol.

General internet chatter is one thing but I give more credence to this site and fellow members.

I am glad they replaced that tire for him, but those front tires were abused and under inflated......and still didn't fall apart.

The BS comment wasn't really directed at anybody......just putting it out there.

I am not happy with BFG either. The backorder on the 335 is beyond stupid. You finally deliver a pretty decent autocross/trackday tire and then fail to stock the widest size? :confused18:

While I am at it. If a tire company wants to sponsor an autocross by giving away tires to the winner, shouldn't said company give away the best autocross tire in their lineup. WTF do autocrossers do with Radial T/As?

I got my 275's for the front and I gave up on the 335's and switched to 315's that are in stock. Should have them next week.

Tire Rack is showing less than 5 on hand right now, better order soon if you've been planning on buying a set!

FYI. 265/35/18 rivals are now available at Tire Rack. I've been checking every week and they finally showed up. Sadly, now 315's are on backorder for a couple weeks.

That and the first of the 19" sizes are trickling in.

Nope, haven't heard anything. I'll see what I can dig up this weekend.

I would hope that a 335/30-19 would be on the list. The corvette market is much larger than ours and I would see it as a good idea to cover those guys.

Agreed Donny. I always wondered if they were earmarking the Michelins for the Vette/Viper guys and targeting the PT segment with the rivals...?

Finally!! Now if they'll just produce a 255/35 to match up with the 285/35 that's available, I'll be happy. LOL

The 255 is already on BFGs website. Boss302 sizes?
