Cool video of Brian Hobaugh on the road course at USCA Portland

If you haven’t watched some of Brians videos, you’re missing out! One of the top drivers on an autocross or road course, Brian brings years of experience to the track. Check out his latest in-car video from the second road course session at last weekends USCA Portland event.
Check out the video HERE. |
Loving my new Chromcast!! Watching that video on my50" TV with the surround sound cranked up makes you feel like you are in the car with him.
Awesome run, Brian picked off some seriously fast cars like they were also rans... Track looks fun too. |

Great video. Badass Brian. Thanks.

It's great seeing this car get hammered on at the track--thanks for the killer videos! Here's hoping for another USCA event at Laguna Seca next year!

I saw the same thing Brian --- and thought --- "man I hope that hood doesn't come flying off!!"
The best part of the whole video was when you passed JCG like he was standing stilll!! Now I see why he came home and posted that he needed more motor! LOL The video Jody posted - the last lap sounded like maybe the tires were starting to give up.... they were screaming for mercy and the car seemed to be a bit more of a handful - but then again - maybe it was because you were hammering the corners deeper/harder. Hard to tell -- but as always - superb driving skills. |
Greg,
The last lap was a combination of hot tires, hot brakes, and I pushed it harder. That session was the second one of the day. I was trying to be easy on everyone and not come up on them too fast. This is not a race and no need to dive bomb anyone. I was giving up a lot at the end of the fast straights when they were there. 150 mph approaching them when they were slowed to 70-80 mph at the end of the back straight and down to 45 mph at the end of the front straight. Heavy braking was needed by all. They all got faster as the day went on. All of us behaved with great respect for each other. It was a ton of fun! |
I was really glad that USCA showed up in the Pacific NorthWest.... but there are certainly FAR more interesting tracks to run. I spent my youth on the drag strip there at one end or the other. Back in the day there was no road course... and Rusty Stevenson and I used to skank around in the old house foundations (that was a city out there! But flooded and they never rebuilt). Rusty's older brother was the NHRA area rep back then.

Well @ least I was on the track getting passed.. Not just sitting in the pits with a hurt motor.. I forgot that is why you bring a back-up car!

Great lines BTW Brian!
