Fesler is working on a flush glass set up for our cars. If your not in a rush you may want to shoot him a PM to get on the list.

Pilkington is the best USA option. Mayhem and my 67 Camaro has Pilkington classics.
Pilkington only has clear and green tint. Pilkington classics is in Columbus, Ohio. The smoked glass comes from overseas vendors.

Can't wait to see Fesler let's get it done your the only company that can and will make it happen.

I got the smoked kit from a previous vendor on here. I was not impressed. Yes, it came from overseas, Thailand according to the stickers and the quality wasn't very good. The back glass was essentially unusable as the curvature is way off. Around 0.75" too high in the middle. I was supposed to get a replacement but it never happened. Side glass was not bad, but there are some issues with the curve matching between the door and quarter that took a little bit of messing with.

Also the tint isn't really that dark. I would have preferred a little darker.

If you do go with the tinted, be sure you can replace easily if needed.

Woodrow.

1st Gen Camaro is shipping now and we teamed up with Pilkington to make the best glass kit available. It is all made in North America no overseas crap and the fit and finish is awesome. It took us over a year for the Camaro and now that we have it down with them we will have 5-6 sets of new cars at SEMA this year. Keep your eyes open for a new poll on glass so we can build all the cars that are needed. We are working on 2nd Gen Camaro, 67 Mustang Fastback and Chevelle now. C-10 is next along with other Chevelle and Nova cars.

Nice Chris, I've been out of auto (glass) for 15/16 years now (grew up with it though) and was gonna due a 2nd gen kit for the helluva it, but no need now....I probably only had 10 or so sets sold and was going with the current/existing Pilkington windshield with no frit or additional dimensions, as we can always "field/shop" frit the edge, but no where near as good as factory applied....

I'll be interested in the 2nd gen when it comes out....What about the backlite(glass) to match the front? anything different on that? 1st or 2nd gen

Hi Tony! I've got the Prodigy kit in my 69 and the side glass is as Woodrow described. I did not have any problems with the windshield or back glass. I'm changing the side glass out and switching to Nu Relics regulators. I can't get the door glass up without pulling it up the last 6" or so by hand. :bang:

Thanks for the info!

Our smoke kits have near perfect fit. Alot of the well known guys here have bought from me and no one has had any issues as far as fit goes. It is not the same mfg that Prodigy was using.

ItDoRun 01-15-2016 06:41 PM

I just installed a complete OER set. All the glass fits great except the door glasses. I'm on my third passenger side door glass now. Tried the AMD but the green tint is much lighter than the OER. Gonna try one more OER passenger and then not sure where to go from there. Sucks too because the car is finished!!!

Does Pilkington make an original green tint glass for the doors?

Prodigy smoke glass kit was from Autocity, which buys their glass from overseas. It was much thinner than Pilkington. A friend had a 69 Camaro Z28 with Autocity glass and it cracked within 6 months. The car just sat in the garage all the time.
