Roadster Shop/Craftsman C-10 Muscle Truck

We are pleased to introduce a new Roadster Shop C-10 build coming your way!

We have teamed up with Craftsman Tools to build a '69 Chevy C-10, utilizing our FAST TRACK C-10 chassis, Forgeline wheels and a host of custom touches to make for a pretty badass truck.

The build is being documented, filmed and will be featured on the Craftsman YouTube site, Club Community, Facebook page etc. The truck will then be auctioned at Barrett Jackson with all proceeds going to Heroes at Home charity.

Check out the preview video!:

Thanks!

With the teardown underway, a vote was held across the Craftsman and our Facebook pages to select the main color for the truck.

http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7388/9...0c01559d_b.jpg

After 3470 votes, the charcoal scheme was voted as winner. We then offered two distinct options based on the charcoal scheme:

1.
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3693/9...2cdeb853_b.jpg

or 2.
http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3723/9...1fd7cfa4_b.jpg

with over 6600 votes, we have a winner, but which one would you go for?

novahollic 09-06-2013 01:46 PM

that second one is just about perfect. :hail:

cant wait to see this one take shape!

Flash68 09-06-2013 02:00 PM

#1 FTW... very cool truck.

Sieg 09-06-2013 02:04 PM

After careful consideration #1 :D

Please don't use that woodgrain insert trim. :sieg:

DBasher 09-06-2013 02:10 PM

I'm diggin the first one but the red on the wheels isn't working for me. Either way, when I win it I probably won't change a thing!

Ps I'm 6'5" 245lbs, if that helps lay out the interior.

Pss cool to see you're keeping it a long bed

Dan

Lol - nice try...
Actually it will be converted to a short bed.

You can have us switch it back to a long bed when you win it. :unibrow:

Keep it swb wheelbase but...... how about increasing the cab dimensions to similar proportions as the 88-98 c/k trucks. Much better leg room in the c/k series vs the 6x-87's (current owner of a 64, 67, & 90swb; previous owner of a 74swb).

DBasher 09-06-2013 02:38 PM

I guess I can just leave the tailgate down:D

aggie91 09-06-2013 02:48 PM

I prefer the second one. But, I will take either...:whistling:

67goatman455 09-06-2013 06:26 PM

gah...i hope that wood trim doesn't make it. Oh well, ill still drive it :headspin:

65 347 09-06-2013 06:32 PM

If you have to do a two tone, I would go with the first one.

Mike

89 RS 09-06-2013 06:39 PM

This is going to be another awesome build! I like both schemes, but leaning towards the second one more.

Rick D 09-06-2013 06:45 PM

Number 2 for me, just because the first one looks like Phil's orange and white truck to much!! But don't worry I won't change either if I win it!! :welcome3:

onefast70elco 09-07-2013 09:03 AM

Number 2..

Ketzer 09-07-2013 10:33 AM

I like two too! :y0!:

waynieZ 09-07-2013 11:05 AM

#1 for me

Ironically, 2 is my favorite number and #2 is on the money. :G-Dub:

Disruptive -- but awesome! LOL

BBC71Nova 09-17-2013 08:07 AM

Cool. A C10 is on my bucket list.

BTW, do I have to buy a car to get one of those sweet looking RS shirts?:D I'll have to look for that trailer at the next show I guess.

mild2wild 09-17-2013 08:51 AM

Awesome build, awesome video. And free Craftsman cabinets and tools to boot!

SBDave 09-17-2013 10:14 AM

Ahhh my dad had a chevy that looked exactly like this. Long bed, faded green with the white cab and a camper. He used it as his work truck from the early 70's til about '07. Drove it out from Illinois when he moved to CA. Truck had rust everywhere (fist sized hole right above the rear passenger wheel wheel). Wish I hadn't pushed him to get rid of it but at the time he had a new work truck and the C10 was just being used to store stuff. Man, the memories I have of that truck are priceless!

Hurry up and strip it so I can shut up about all this hahaha

It's definitely interesting to see what all goes on behind the scenes to make a show and the number of people and equipment involved in setting up just a couple of shots.

No arguments here on any of that! Longer videos would be great!
