What kind of paint to use on subframe & rear end

I'm getting ready to paint my subframe and rear end and curious what paint everyone is using. Was originally going to powdercoat them but thinking I'd rather paint them instead incase I ever need/want to do touch on them. I'm painting them both black if that matters any

I used Eastwood's Extreme Chassis Black on rear end. Seems to be holding up well.

I'd powdercoat them . Much tougher material and it can still be touched up

I will be doing the same with my nova soon and I own a body shop....I will be doing them in imron if that means anything..... powder coat tough. Just don't plan on buffing it ....not happening with imron

Oh ya, the industrial imron is very tough stuff! Not sure how it holds up to grease/fluids but I was going to give it a shot until I decided to go with powder coat instead

Got my sub-frame back from powdercoating! Turned out amazing, so glad I chose this route...

how much?

Just curious what did it cost to have your sub frame powder coated?

Subframe

I just had mine finished. To blast, and powder coat $300

Go to your local John Deere dealer and buy some Blitz Black which is a very nice looking satin black. Easy to touch up and it is the most durable paint you will find in a can. I painted my subframe and engine compartment with it. Two years later, 8000 miles and several engine removals it still looks good and I can touch it up easily.
