SN65 on the cover of Hot Rod!!!!
Hi All,
That's right!!! The SN65 made the cover.... "Gonzo '65 Mustang on an '03 Chassis" Granted, it is the upper right hand corner. And the picture is barely large enough to see me in the passenger seat, but it is the cover. Look for the August issue for the full 9 page spread. It should be on the stands in about a week or so. Catch ya'll l8r |
You go boys, Congratulations!
|
Good job!

Congrats!! Well deserved!!
|
Very cool. Congratulations. Hey, a cover is a cover no matter what size the photo... and Hot Rod isn't exactly the bottom of the barrel.
|
Great News! well deserved for a Killer car
|
good work..you going to make Columbus?
|
Congrats! I will have to check that out.
|

Yes we are going to be there. There are going to be so many cool cars present, and so many great builders, that I just have to be there. I hope to come face to face with some of the people that I have only met in the pages of a magazine. Of course I am just taking for granted that you are going to be there. I want to see that car of yours in the final 5 for SMOTY. If it does not make it at least that far, there is no God. :-) But... I was talking to Rich Chenet and he said that there are so many GREAT cars at the event that it really is possible to get lost in the crowd. OBTW, you were right about the blower upgrade. Holy HP Batman. 550 RWHP (and 520 ft lbs torque) is more than enough for me. I cannot even imagine what your car is like with the HP you generate. It must be totally insane. I, for one, look forward to seeing you there. |
thats awesome. I was first introduced to the build over on the corner carver's site. Amazing work from start to finish. Hopefully my Rag will arrive in the mail today or tomorrow.
|
Congrats!!! I can't wait to get my copy :) .

Dyno Runs
Hey Bob,
The footage we shot from the blower install and dyno sessions is looking good. I got the dyno sheets emailed to me today, do you need copies? Thanks, - Kevin Oeste |

And, yes, please send me a copy of the results. |
Is this the Rich Chenet shoot? I can't wait to see it. Congratulations!

Congrats on making Hot Rod!
Can't wait to see it.. |

My advice to you is get out early and get a spot where you can't help but get noticed. Those guys get up real early to secure a good spot. i'm waiting for the day when I can get power parked because I'm big shi*..probably have to have the patience of Job though..lol..I don't have any other advice. Your car is not the type of car that generally competes. Different style of build that usually shows up there. It will be interesting to see how the builder type judges warm up to this style of build. They will surely notice the quality of the workmanship you guys have done. The factory style product you have produced will be a whole new dimension for them..different is better to me..hope they look at it that way..I think they will..people striking out on a different path makes this hobby more interesting.

Bob's got that right...

Just got my copy and read the article a few times. Great accomplishment. Wish it would come out as a book!

For Boyd to give you guys a heads up is saying a lot. I remember a show he did on the top 10 custom cars of all time. I think 8 of them were his. :-) |

We will be there as early as possible. If I could, I would be in line right now. :-) As far as "Power Parking" goes, I would think that you are pretty much there. All you need is (Insert celebrity here: Will Smith, Pamala Anderson, Hillary Clinton, Etc...) to drive the car into the show for you. OBTW, I heard that you turned the Cuda loose. Are you happy with the results? I know that I am with the blower upgrade. I think that, from a rolling start, we could give you a run for the money. Not that we would actually stand a chance, but we would not in-bare-ass ourselves either. In theory, we should be able to top out at about 220. BUT, there is no way in he!! that I am going to attempt it. But Sheeeiittt, getting from 40 to 120 happens as fast as you can run through the feakin gears. i hope you get the chance to drive yours a bit. Wayne is always yellin at me cus I am out in it every chance I get. Best regards. See you at GGC. |

Just download the Power Point Presentation on the SN65 website. It is the same book we have on display with the car. It is about 100 pages and covers the entire build from start to finish. Also, it has a couple of nice video clips. |

I wouldn't worry about your spot on Sat. the pro area opens around 9 or 10 anyways. I don't think it'd hurt to bring it to the host hotel Thursday night either. As I recall, the 4 out of the 5 SMOY were their last year. Thursday night is a good time, . |
Congrats on the ink...well deserved for a awesome car. Good Luck at Goodguys. I might try and get there.

Thanks for the info. I will make sure that I loiter about the host hotel parking lot Thursday night. :-) OBTW... "Pro Area"??? What is the Pro Area? |

Some people actually pull the same car in there two years in a row, people also put cars in there that fall into neither catagory, some people also put cars in there that wouldn't win a top 100, let alone a top 5, . Just some of the reasons why it's so packed, ;) . Good luck  . |
