64 Falcon @ Dick's Hot Rod Shop MN

10 Attachment(s)
I have been working on this project on nights and weekends for a couple of months and figured it was time to start a thread. It will be built for autocross and track days. if there are any questions feel free to ask. I manage Dick's Hot Rod Shop in MN and that is where I am building it. It will be a car that will represent our shop at the events we attend.

Holy cow you're build is similar to mine. Except for the part where you know what you're doing and I don't lol. Love the post cars.

You have a lot of nice looking part. Going to be sweet!

Graham08 03-16-2015 06:41 AM

Nice work! Way to include all the NASCAR type pieces...that stuff can be had for pennies on the dollar if you can make it work for your application like you have.

SBDave 03-16-2015 11:35 AM

Thank you for choosing a Falcon to represent your shop--this one is definitely pinning the awesomeness meter!

WSSix 03-24-2015 07:07 AM

This is pretty badass. Thanks for sharing the build with us and welcome to the site!

Brandon, were you the one driving the DHRS truck at the CC Summer Nationals and Des Moines GG shows the past couple summers? A lot of great fab work on that truck and this car.

I drove a 56 f100 and a 51 chevy truck at those shows the last few years.
the 56 f100 I still own and the 51 chevy was an employees truck that the two of us built.the 51 was sold over the winter and went to california. I won the Des Moines GG truck class last year in the 51. Thanks for the compliments.

Hey Brandon how's that falcon coming along?

Dr G 08-01-2015 11:27 AM

I like that you're making all your own suspension parts instead of just bolting stuff on. Even making spindles. That's something I would like to do but have not yet found the right snouts/pins. What type of wheels would you be using with GN hubs?

blue04.5 08-01-2015 10:11 PM

Great fabrication on this car. Making it look so simple. I have big dreams to do something similar to my truck. Looking forward to your project.

jarhead 08-04-2015 08:27 PM

this is sick!

DBasher 01-15-2016 12:08 AM

Any updates on this? I thought I'd seen some Mike Maier Inc. suspension goodies going on in the back....whats the word?

fpvmustang 11-03-2016 09:18 PM

i know he has been busy running optima. Got to talk to brandon during breaks at Ron Sutton workshop in vegas. Real nice guy. there's some videos of the car in action on facebook https://www.facebook.com/dickshotrod...7870031018220/

DBasher 11-04-2016 01:33 PM

Bummer, I was at the class also.

Thanks for the link, I'll dig through it and see what's been happening.
