CHC Chris Holstrom Concepts is building a Mustang?

http://static1.squarespace.com/stati.../1426777517329

It's true and quickly becoming a shop favorite.

Truth be told...My first job was working at a Mustang restoration shop and building cool Fords in the 80's when everybody wanted a '65 Mustang...well almost everybody, My first car was a '55 Chevy but that's another story.

Here's rendering from Ben to wet your appetite

This start was a 6 cylinder automatic car the begged for something a little more...https://scontent-sea.xx.fbcdn.net/hp...10325760_o.jpg

but I should start from the beginning

I like the drawing so if it comes close to it I would love it.

NOPANTS68 04-19-2015 09:25 AM

Cool build. I like that rendering. Car looks really clean and fresh. It doesn't have a bunch of gingerbread hanging off of it.

tweet66 04-19-2015 05:34 PM

Sweet build. I love the changes on the grill area in the drawing. Definitely following this one

WSSix 04-19-2015 08:24 PM

This is going to be good. Best of luck on the build, Chris.

Thanks guys- we are really learning a lot on this one. The cast aluminum cradle from DSE is crazy cool how it fits and the quality of design is amazing.

We are trying to learn more on each full build by keeping more stuff in house especially the metal fabrication.

Very awesome Chris! Looking good.
I think your builds are very cleaning looking, but yet aggressive and am looking forward to this one as well. I too have a soft spot for Fords in my heart, as well as Chevys and Mopars. lol :D
Keep us posted!

Have to completely agree with you. The quality of the DSE parts are amazing. I'm building a 65 Fastback with similar set up, although we're running Ridetech rear and LS motor.

I'll be following this build.

I gotta subscribe to this!

GregWeld 04-21-2015 07:33 AM

Nice project Chris!!!

I got a nice smile on my face when I saw it on the rotisserie.... glad you painted it! Then a couple pics later I see the shop grand opening gift (the engine sling) being used! I love those things! Then a pic of the 2 post and the rotisserie! LOL

I can't tell you how happy I am that you've made a successful business!! You've worked very hard - you've put a lot of investment in time and $$ back into the business to help it grow. And you're putting out killer builds. I bow your direction!

youthpastor 04-21-2015 10:23 PM

YES !! I finally found the multi-quote button- I feel dangerous!!

Greg, Thanks for everything! It's been a wild ride to say the least. I feel like I could have done less work getting an MBA from Harvard, I've learned so much about the business end that has little to do with building cars. We've seen huge accomplishments followed by crippling discouragement and as long as we can live to fight it out another day we've kept moving forward. We are now in a season of hitting our stride with a bunch of momentum going forward with a full shop, a waiting list and a happy bank account. I think the main reason for our success is surrounding ourselves with the right people(top notch employees, quality vendors and amazing customers)

Thank you guys! I grew up around Mustangs and both my older brothers had 67 and 68 Cougars

hifi875 04-22-2015 08:06 AM

mustang coupes are coming on strong. This will only reinforce their popularity going forward. The fastbacks are too much $$ anymore. Even junky ones are too $$. Gonna look killer

You said it brother.
I think Mustangs were the car of the year at SEMA for the last 2 years if I am correct.
