New Dynacorn Camaro for $43k?

I was at the Street Machine Nationals this weekend & a spectator was telling us his buddy just took delivery of a brand new turnkey '69 Camaro with a Dynacorn body, with a used LS motor for $43 grand. This is a complete, painted car with interior, ready to drive. He said it was from a shop that builds them, not an abandoned project.
I find the price very hard to believe.
If the body is $15k, the rest of the parts alone would be WAY more than that, and that leaves nothing for labor.
I looked online for turnkey Camaros, but came up dry.
Possible?

I'd like to know how they pulled that off. We talked to a customer about this idea with a carb'd car, all stock suspension and brakes, steel wheels, 15" tires, and I think it would have been around the low 60s.

I wanna see pics to know the quality the guy is actually getting. If it seems to good to be true it probably is.

That's what I thought. As it was "a friend..." that bought this and the other vague details, such as the shop that offers it, I thought it might be a stretch. He said it was right from Dynacorn, and as far as I know, they don't offer finished cars.
Unless someone else has more info, I'm going with he was misinformed.

So how are the getting a VIN# on the Dynacirn Car?

dhutton 07-23-2015 06:05 AM

Few years old:

Edit, just noticed it says they are not Dynacorn bodies.

These ones use Dyancorn bodies. I am guessing the price is higher than $43k:

Depends on your state. Usually the DMV issues them.

I told my wife I only have about 40k into my car too.....:)

A lot of people wont really admit how much they have into their cars...I know I won't since most people just wont understand....

If this is a true turn key brand new body '69 Camaro for $43k, its a POS... sorry...

Agree 100%. I was polite to the guy telling me about it...all the while telling him how nice it sounded. But thinking NFW.

You have to be careful about that.... as a local talk show host says, there are really 3 prices you pay...

1. The price you paid.
2. The price you told her you paid.
3. The price you pay when she finds out the price you paid!

On latest "Leno's Garage" he out's the guy on Video about how much he spent on the wheels and the car. Kinda funny the guy even admits to having a separate account.

69hugger 08-29-2015 05:46 AM

Love it!
How flattering would that be to find Leno waiting for you because he thinks your car is cool?

This is the funniest thing I've read in a while.
So True.

The girlfriend knows exactly how much I put in the car. Figure it's better she knows going in what she's getting herself into!

It's easier when they are the Girlfriend. They change when you marry them.

Guess i'll hold out a little longer to get married till the cars done :)

And gotta set the precedence early with the car spending maybe. I'll give it a shot and report back.

Tom finally decided to tie the knot with his longtime girlfriend. One evening, after the honeymoon, he was cleaning one of his hot rods for an upcoming show.

His wife was standing there at the bench watching him. After a long period of silence she finally speaks. "Honey, I've just been thinking, now that we are married maybe it's time you quit spending all your time out here in the garage and you probably should just consider selling all your cars.

Tom gets this horrified look on his face. She says, "Darling, what's wrong?"

"There for a minute you were starting to sound like my ex-wife."

"Ex-wife!”, she screams, "YOU NEVER TOLD ME YOU WERE MARRIED BEFORE!!!!!!!"

Tom's reply: "I wasn't".

Scott, I printed that and showed it to my dad and he couldn't stop laughing
