1970 challenger project. New metal, tube frame project
Item Location (City/State): Coolidge, GA
Price: $7500 OBO Description: Well its been sitting way to long and with my shop now closed and not a whole lot time to work so thought I would see if anyone else was interested. Project started as a original car. Car had rust so quarters and roof were replaced with new AMD metal. Car was going to be a full frame replacement so rusty floors were completely removed as was most of lower firewall. Inner rockers were plated with 10G metal to further strengthen them. There is still more rust places in the outer rocker and in the lower interior b-pillar. But not bad at all considering. Easy fix for anyone willing to take on something like this. Car has both original rust free doors (complete) and both rust free fenders (passenger has dent in top), also most all the trim is there lights, chrome, grille, bumpers, etc. Most in great shape, I took care in maintaining all these parts. Car also includes a brand new Moser Dana 60, with 40 spline axles, narrowed to fit a 12" , 7" BS wheel (I think), C5 complete front suspension and a new lower rear valance. Wheels are not included. There is other stuff I know of that is laying around I bought for the car but haven't taken a full inventory yet. Also throwing in the frame table it is sitting on made of over 60 ft of 4" HD I-beam with casters I have over a hundred pictures from the day I brought home to current. No titles in GA on cars over 25yrs old. Will provide bill of sale notarized and copy of state registration. Never had a issue with that before.
|

That is a crazy price for how what your selling! I did the exact same full frame type build on my 69 Camaro (plating the inner rockers and drop over a full frame). I paid $5,500 for a rusty crap-hole shell. If this were a Cuda I would be buying it, but I cannot get approval from the wife for another long term project unless it is a 70-71 Cuda or 69 Mustang Fastback. I negotiated 3 cars that I can buy at any time if I find a deal I cannot pass up. Unfortunately, the Camaro was an impulse buy, and not the best deal I could have found...
Good luck with the sale Chad. |
I think its a fair price. But also know my buyer audience is limited due to the amount of work this will take
