1 Attachment(s)
A Long-term, slow going project. :G-Dub:
Body: 47 REO Speedwagon cab & front end, 34 ford front fenders Chassis: Tube frame, Ron Sutton front clip & decoupled three link rear suspension, Wide 5 hubs, Coleman spindles, Ron Sutton Control arms, Ridetech triple adj shocks, etc. 9 Inch Ford floater, T56 magnum, LS3. mockup cab & wheels, long way to go... :whenitsdone: |
Well that's.....different! Sounds like it's going to be a heck of a go kart, have you got the "pig nose" grill? Jim Green has an REO double cab...might be a Diamond T, that's been sitting on a pallet forever.
Curious to see how the Ford fenders work out. Nice parts list, have fun with it! |

I've got the pointy front end.
Here's an (earlier) mock-up pict, you can see the front end & fenders cant get the pict to post; i'll try again later Earlier mock-up with fenders |
It is really cool. Different to build a REO Speedwagon truck. Very different to make it as an RSRT designed Street Warrior chassis. I can't wait to see it come along.

This post looks out of place now -- but the post was in response to DIRTFISH school (rally driving on dirt and gravel and mud) up in Seattle area....... You'd HATE what they teach! They teach THROW THAT WEIGHT AROUND. Pound the brakes! Lift on the gas! Big lift! I was told ----- We'd like to see more "contrast" between lifting on the gas and pounding the brakes. LOL Be nice to the tires? Uh NO! Fun?!?!?!? Oh buddy! It's car control to the maximum.... 50 mph on wet gravel with trees and water filled ditches. K wall? Ha! I'd rather hit one of those than be up-side-down in a water filled ditch! LOL We were doing a 2 day advanced class having taken the 3 or 4 day class previously. I'd sign up to do this school whenever anyone wants to go. They teach you A LOT. But if a guy wants to improve his car control - take their TWO WHEEL REAR DRIVE class.... that would be more like our road racing skids. |
Awesome build! Been following on PT for a while!
