Would like to see some pics of ECM &TCM's mounted in engine bay
I know Dirty Dingo makes an ECM mount, but no TCM mount. Would like to see what you guys have done. Thanks.

No one at all?

Not the greatest pics, btu I mounted my ECM on the driver side of the radiator support and built a small panel for the TCM and custom fusebox.

Attachment 56067
The sunlight makes it a little hard to see, but it's under where the fender mounts. Attachment 56068 The computer in this one is behind the plate that closes out the right hand fender well. The air filter is nosed up to it. Attachment 56069 This is one in process. It's just mounted to the firewall with a plastic mount. |
Hi guys! We are making model specific GM Connect-and-Cruise harness and ECU mounting kits now. We have a few done, with more models to come and available by request. Our new website and store is almost done, and we are currently doing product photoshoots, but this should tide you over.
Our kits include: ECU and TCU brackets with optimum harness routing and hidden mounting where possible DBW pedal mount (bolt in!) Firewall wiring pass thru plate with grommet Fuse box mount Fuse box mounting tabs (available universal/bulk too) HARNESS BRAIDED SLEEVING KIT!!!!! Here is some shots of the 68-72 chevelle kit. The ECU is mounted behind the passenger fender (no disassembly required, only drill 2 additional holes) with the Fuse panel cleanly mounted by the battery. The TCU is behind the driver inner fender, and you can guess where the DBW pedal is. The sleeving kit includes all the braided sleeve you need for the engine and trans harness, cloth 3M tape, mounting hardware to secure the harness to the back of the motor and the fuel rails, AND install tools for the split wrap! Cool hey? We sell the braided kit on its own too. http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...psswcvfy0a.jpg the Kit for 68-72 A-body http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...ps7nlnn5yj.jpg the universal fuse box tabs http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...psjnsdmyyo.jpg the wrap kit installed http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/...psbbbalsgc.jpg Heres the fuse box mount in mockup, the ecu is directly behind it. Two of the holes are there from factory. The kit comes with Stainless hardware. |
Great job.........Well thought out..........

Would love to see the pic of the ECM with bracket. Not sure what you meant when you say "directly behind it" ??
|
DT69Cam, The ecu and bracket are directly behind the visible fuse panel/mount. They share the same bolts (ecu bracket has threaded bosses) and is behind the inner fender flange, out of sight. Hard to get a pic of it for you! I have a pic of the bracket/ecu on our instagram, I will get on posting more stuff here this weekend.

Pretty clever. Have you done anything for a 58-64 Chevy full size?

Wow....a first for a product designed for a Chevy model other than a 69 Camaro! :sarcasm_smiley: Would like more info on this product as I have a 72 Chevelle myself. This would make a lot of mounting made easy.
|
Would it work for a 65' chevelle?
|
@ HPI this is exactly what I'm looking for for F body! Do you have a set up for behind glove box? Or a bracket to modify?

GMPP ECM and Fuse Box Mounting 67 Camaro
My version. I didn't use the HPI clips but it would have saved me a couple hours of my time!

Custom length Speartech harness allowed me to put the ecm behind the DS headlight. I also made a fuse panel with a cover to hide all of the wiring and fuses.

Hello there,
great product! I was curious if and when will you be offering this for a 69 Camaro? My ECM is currently mounted in the glove box and I cant stand it! I want to purchase a vintage air kit one of these days and the ECM would probably be in the way. thank you so much! Ray |
Holley dominator ecu. My son milled it out of a chunk of aluminum and I replaced the ugly plate that came with the vintage air kit. 1st time project for him so not quite perfect on the centering of the holes, but not real visible so I told him I would run as is as he offered to mill another up.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...6b7abc105e.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...9592e8c28a.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...7d884c86d3.jpg
