Formula 43 not making 19inch wheels anymore?
As the title says Im hearing that formula 43 is not offering their wheels in 19 inch diameter? Is this true? Ready to order a set of their rad 10 but will not run a 18 inch wheel
|
Forgeline GZ3 is a very similar wheel and is available in 19"

Why wouldn't you just call Formula 43 directly and ask that question?? |

Well actually I did on Friday and couldnt get anyone to pick up or call back. Then a local rep told me that they wer not offering 19s anymore. |
Bump... Do any dealers know any info?
|
If I called a business and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone - I'd buy from somebody else.
I own TWO sets of Formula 43 wheels... but I wouldn't buy anymore if I couldn't get someone to answer the phone or email. |
Yea I agree Greg, really had my heart set on these for my c10 build.

Yeah -- My first post -- I wasn't trying to be negative or a smart ass.... just struck me that the first people I'd call would be the manufacturer. They'd have the most up-to-date info!! LOL I love my Formula 43 Clubsports I run on the Mustang track car. They're really light and really well made. I bought mine thru Ron Sutton Race Technologies.... and he may or may not have info for you. It bugs the crap out of me that you can't get anyone on the phone! WTF - what kind of business doesn't answer the phone! |
Exactly lol. But I will reach out to your contact and see if I can find anything out. Iv noticed that there hasn't been much activity on any of the forums from them lately. Hope they are still in business?! ha

I had the same problem with them recently.
I called 4-5 times over 2 days and someone finally picked up on the last try before I gave up. However, once I got a hold of someone, they were quick to send me a quote and quick to get me my coated rim halves. I need to order some more wheels and I'm a little nervous to do business with them. As you said, they have sort of dropped off the face of the earth. Makes me uneasy as to the state of the business. |

I've noticed that as well!! At this point - There's no way I'd buy anything from them. That's a death spiral. |
Ok well then what do you guys think is my closet option to the RAD 10? With a step style lip ?
|
Forgeline DP3R --- then you have to call them and ask what they have in a BOLT on version....

If you can't get a set of RAD 10s, you could always go with a set of Forgelines. I just got a set of GZ3Rs with step lips and the quality is top notch! I debated about getting a set of RAD 10s but ultimately called Mark at Forgeline because I knew they would be able to build and deliver quickly in 3 weeks or less.

Average build time for Forgeline is 4 weeks. One of the fastest in the biz.

Detroit Speed Inc is the dealer for Formula 43 wheels. Hopefully you get an answer to your question by them
|
Personally, I own neither brand, but if I may add my $.02, I'd opt for the Forgelines. Not a knock or a slander against Formula 43, but those Forgelines are just some sick wheels. Honestly, I may opt for a 2nd set of wheels for my car and will go with their center bolt versions.
|
Forgelines are great wheels no doubt but your looking at a 1k difference if not more in price. Both companies have great build quality tho. Budget is always a factor ya know :(
O and I called detriot speed, they told me they are not dealing with formula 43 anymore. The guy wouldn't give me a reason. |
