How long is too long to wait for a sales receipt?
Recently purchased an automotive product and I am very happy with the service and product. But I purchased this item over two months ago with still no receipt in hand.
I have asked atleast 5x through various emails. Normally a receipt wouldn't be such an issue but I cannot come to an agreement for value with my insurance and receipts are vital to helping my case. Had my car been a 69 camaro I wouldn't have to worry about any of this. Lol The shop is small and basically a solo operation but now it's two months later. What would you do if in my shoes? |
I'd just keep on bugging them. Most companies will provide the final receipt/invoice upon shipment of the item. If they're a small shop then they may not have an invoice software, making it more time consuming to create one.
Sheesh sounds like I'm on their side. lol -Dale |
You stated that you have sent 5 emails. Call them!

Received an email response this morning that I should see something shortly.

I would just drive to the shop and get the receipt in person:gitrdun:

if I call he answers, says "sorry I forgot" then hangs the phone up, fields a few more calls and I'm forgotten about once again. |

You have way more patience then I have. |
Got my receipt via email. Thanks to those who offered advice.

I know the feeling we can invest 25k into wheels, brakes, suspension and the insurance says the will go agreed value of 17K!
You should enlighten us as to who the dealer is so if we choose to buy from said dealer we can at least know what we could be facing buying from them. :stirthepot: |
I hear ya on the waiting...I'm almost 2 months out waiting on the title for the RV we purchased. Thankfully, it appears we'll be getting it next Monday.
Good luck with the insurance negotiations. |
