Project - Mile High Camaro
2 Attachment(s)
Named @milehighcamaro #milehighcamaro for two reasons. One is we are big time Denver Bronco fans and the bills for the car are both @ Mile High.
This project was really inspired by two very well done cars. One is the OverClock camaro and the other is a green one I found in SuperChevy picture attached. 1969 Convertible Camaro: Speedtech Extreme 934hp LS3 T-56 Mag (RPM) Boze Splitter Concave 18x10 5x4.75 bc rear spacing 7.00 Boze Splitter Concave 19x12 5x4.75 bc rear spacing 5.50 Tires: Michellin Pilot SS 18x10 front 275/35/18 19x12 rear 325/30/19 Custom Rear End (Watts Linkage) raingear hidden wiper kit seats marquez design interior Entropy radiator w/dual fans, support 900hp super charger ports Borla Pro XS with Cut Outs Speedtech headers AA WireHarness E-Stopp Push Button DSE Tubs electronic Ignition VaporWorx with dual 400 pumps Ringbrothers hood hinges Vin Air Gen IV Gen IV Black 3 button bear brakes 6p Hydraulic Kit (Custom) McLeod TXT Clutch Master and Slave Kit Gauges Holly 554-114 Holly main 558-103 Holly main power 558-308 Holly 558-201 Holly 558-406 Holly boost control 557-200 Holly boost control 557-200 2-Bar map sensor to 15 PSI Holley EFI Air Temp Sensor Holley EFI Collant Temp Sensor Holley Presure Senor, 0-100 PSI, Oil and Fuel presure Holley Presure Senor, 0-100 PSI, Oil and Fuel presure Holly Boosh 554-100 Engine Tuning Ididit Steering Column Flaming River Steering Wheel Door Poppers (There wont be door handles) Electric life window kit, front and rear w/BMW style switches RM-8020 SFI Bellhousing Bear Master Cylinder |

The car looked clean on the outside but as many of you know once we looked at the car it was another story. The trunk was all rusted but I couldn't tell because someone had welded a new trunk over the rusted one. I really thought I had looked it all over :(
None of them are perfect. Don't beat yourself up over it.
That green vert looks like Marks build. I think it was called ENVY. I'll have to see if I can find the build thread. Looks like a great build sheet. :captain: |
Thank you and I think your right ENVY sounds correct.

So needless to say we needed a new trunk. But we also found issues in several other places once we media blasted it. As a normal car lover and not someone in the business its crazy to how a car can look pretty decent with paint and body filler. But when you media blast it you see the floor, doors, trunk, area where the top goes down are just awful. So here are a few pics of some of the work.

So we need to do a full floor on the car but while its opened up we can work on tucking tires and fitting engine, and brakes on my new speedtech extreme sub-frame.

Holy Cow those are some nice numbers! I love the project.

It sucks to find out what hidden mess lies beneath.........but putting all those parts on surely puts a smile on your face, nice getting back in the saddle again. Looking good!
that is a lot of HP for a convertible street car!!! Going to be fun :)
Thank you all for the kind words. I am excited now that we are past the bad stuff. More pics to come.
This is going to be sweet! A little rust never hurt anyone :) Looks like you have it under control.....
Well my builder Mr Detailed is doing a great job for me.
We've certainly seen far worse cases of rot - looks like you're off to a great start.
Looking good Derron! Thanks for choosing Boze Wheels!
Thank you Zak, and I can't wait to post some pics :)

Boze rims have arrived :) I am very happy with them and with Zak @bozeforged.
Surely there's a 24 hr tire shop so you can get those bad boys mounted up! :flashie:
Those wheels are beautiful!! We have to see them on the car.
Shiny! Good luck with the build.
Beautiful set of wheels! They'll look nice on there.
Well UPS lost my fourth wheel so mounting them will hopefully come soon. Thank you for all the kind words on the rims. I couldn't be happier unless they were 100% free :)
Very nice wheels,Zak is great to deal with,I have a 3rd set of Boze wheels being built right now.

Does it fit?
4 Attachment(s)
So lets vote does it fit? One of our recent concerns was will the SC fit under the traditional cowl hood.

More pics.
Ooo that's close. How about your intake pipe?
Well I don't have pictures of it after the hood was cut but yes it was getting us nervous.
I'd like to see pictures of it done if you have any you can post later. My LSA is hitting on the heat exchanger hose connection.
