I'll have to dig out paperwork but I think the Mustang GT alone was over 30K. This is a very easy car to drive.

DBasher 03-25-2017 09:28 PM

EX concept?? Who are you? LOL

Mustang looks great and seems like a great price for a proven track car.

The attention to detail and build quality of this car is exceptional compared to most in the paddock area.
IMO the price is an absolute steal.

We looked that over at B-J, cool concept!

Try2paz 03-28-2017 10:56 PM

Would this car qualify for any race indexs like American iron etc? Curious if this had potential outside of just track toy?

clill 03-29-2017 07:50 AM

I have no idea but would think it would be pretty easy to make changes to fit a specific class rule.

GregWeld 04-09-2017 09:32 PM

I'll just borrow it -- I'll take real good care of it and return it with a full tank.

SSLance 04-10-2017 06:17 AM

Considering what most of us spend to attempt to get our older cars track worthy, I think that's a steal as well. Nice car...

WILWAXU 04-11-2017 07:24 AM

Since this started out as a regular production car, and has a VIN... technically it could be registered for the street.

clill 04-11-2017 08:37 AM

You could but why.....Someone should buy this and sign up for the Shelby Club Spring Sprint. They can hang out with Weld and the other buttheads. If a beginner they can run in the yellow group with instruction and have a great time. http://www.norcal-saac.org/springsprint/

I should make two trips -- and take it up there with a for sale sign on it.....

I can't believe nobody here has snatched this up yet..... Don't make me say what I think of that....

GregWeld 04-16-2017 05:26 PM

SOLD

I can't believe you guys are that silly that you can't see the value here. But oh well! Too late!

Che70velle 04-16-2017 05:46 PM

Greg that's awesome. Paint it yellow, and put the 88 on the door...

Since I own #88 and #888 this one will have to be #8888 !!! LOL

Too nice of a car to let these idiots let it sit... they don't know a great car for easy money when they see it. I guess it's not Pro Showing.... so okay!

Brandon -- when Lillard posted it -- I didn't think it would last the day. But then I know the car.... I think on Pro Touring -- it's just too much race car. But then I am into Hot rods at one one -- I skip the tweener cars - and go straight to tracking. I get it. It's really not the website for this kind of stuff. Just as nobody looked at my '65 when he posted that one either. LOL -- It's one of the nicest track cars out there... The body is perfect - the shaved drip rails - just the way it was put together... The '06 is just as well done.

Don't lump me into that group, I saw the value in it for certain!! :D

If I didn't have my hands so full at the moment, I would seriously have considered it. Congrats!!

fleetus macmullitz 04-17-2017 11:58 AM

This purchase confirms what we already had picture proof of...you are a hoarder GW.

Back to horse trading with Charley - hope the interest payments aren't too bad...

As great a buy as this is and as challenging and emotionally charged year as you've had, Greg its great to see you back enjoying life yet again - to come so close and yet to be given a 2nd chance and come back from the grip of death, darkness and a permanent farewell to love ones and friends is unimaginable but life affirming joy, yet nothing says FU cancer like a 911 Singer - I'll help you pick out the color and leather trim accents...

WILWAXU 04-17-2017 02:40 PM

Nice grab GW!

Thanks -- If people saw it in person, they'd know it was another, quality, Jack Mauer build..... He's anal over the top.

Nessy --- What I wouldn't give to own a Singer (well actually I'd have to give about $400K+ I guess).... OMG they're stunning! I have said several times..... "Hey Charley! You know what you need?"..... I'm still working on the cheapskate.

Thanks Trey! I'm not sure why I'm having to bail him out again. LOL

GregWeld 05-09-2017 06:54 AM

What I don't understand is why HE - has the money - and the car..... even though 5 years later I still don't have the title to the '65.
:bang: :lmao: :knock:

Maybe he's just keeping them (the titles) because he knows he's going to get the cars back at some point??

At least his fricken check finally cleared. Hurry up and get this P.O.S. out of here. All the leaks are staining my nice floor.
