Looks great.

Do you think that 4L60E will last longer then one launch behind 1500 hp, ;) .

Payton King 08-11-2006 10:59 AM

It should last a couple of times. The transmission shop built up all the weak points with hand build parts only time will tell. The 80e would be a better choise but i would have to cut the tunnel

Speedster 08-12-2006 07:20 AM

That is a beautiful ride you have there. The plumbing installations are pristine. Nice job !! Gotta love that Nelson engine combo too...

Colvindesign 08-12-2006 10:55 AM

that's a beautiful car. I want to do a rendering of a 82+ berlinetta style Camaro without ground effects with large wheels. I'll be sure to do a version with ground effects too, cause your car looks awesome.

1984 camaro 08-12-2006 11:05 AM

1984 camaro 08-17-2006 08:47 PM

All the hard lines are getting polished, And the exhaust will be coated in ceramic silver. The tail pipes are hand built 4 inch mufflers they look pretty cool. Tom nelson will have the camaro on his web page soon the first of his new Nelson Racing Supercars

platinumgta 08-20-2006 09:50 AM

Any interior shots? Did you guys do anything special inside?

1984 camaro 08-20-2006 07:31 PM

The only shot I have is from the hatch. I do have some with the roll cage with the doors open but no interior. The interior is mostly bone stock with the countour package. that may change at a later date. I will get some from the sides but it will take some time the car is in california

The camaro will be done by spring the intake has been a lot of work months and months. Once that is complete the rest can be done most of all the little stuff is done fuel,brake,hydro-boost and transmission lines the 80e will take 2-3 weeks to get built and about another week to cut tunnel after i have transmission. Hang in there it will be at the shows next season

Chevy High Performance will be doing a full artiacle on the car and will cover the entire project. But that is still a few months away. I will post updates as they happen and also check on nelsons site he will have pics of engine and the dyno run later on. The billet intake is the first of its kind and expected to be done in the next few weeks. I will keep you guys up to speed as progress continues

The 80e is in and the car is getting 345 rubber on rear

87IROC350 01-13-2007 07:53 PM

Did the 80E fit without cutting the tunnel. I'm in the same boat now and considering going that route.

1984 camaro 01-14-2007 11:05 AM

80e

Yes it fits in tunnel but you have to modify the tail end, new trans mount and shorten your tourque arm since the 80e is longer

Aschle 01-15-2007 02:32 PM

Amazing ride !!! Please post updates as they come !!
