1st Gen Camaro Stereo System.
So I have an 67 Camaro and I'm 90 percent finished with it. The stereo system is giving me problems. I'm going with a killer system 2 10inch subwoofers and 2 6x9 speakers with amp and EQ... But the problem is where do I place the system to make it look great. I want you guys to post some pictures of your stereo system setups on your 1st gen camaros. You guys can also post ideas, I'm trying to get an idea how I want to set this up. Thanks. :thankyou:

put 6.5 component spkrs in front kicks incustom panels, 6x9s rear deck subwoofer ets underneath back deck panelout the trunk area on the sides and in the middle and hide everyting. then you will still have a functioning trunk

actually the tweeter needs to go low on pillar. closer to dash. the distance between woofer and tweeter needs to be as close as possible

The TMI ones might. They are pretty sturdy pieces, I am going to use them and their one piece headliner.

TMI A pillar
Chris,
Please report back after you install the TMI headliner and A pillar moldings. I've been scratching my head trying to figure out how close to the OEM moldings they are. Unfortunately, TMI's website is less than stellar with product pictures. It looks like they come with the one-piece headliner kit, no? John BTW, thanks for the guidance regarding the RideTech set-up, your info was very much appreciated.:thankyou: :thankyou:  |

Do you have a link/picture to the TMI A pillars? I looked on their website, under 1st gen product category, and have not been able to find it. |

Just finished a system with the shop kick panels. After trying to sort out balance issues I would much prefer speaker in the door which would require custom door panel and tweeter up high either a pillar or top of door. The issue is you have alot of reflectivity of sound off the rear glass pushing the sound forward and with the front speakers buried under the dash, its hard to get a good balance from them. If was able to move the tweeters up high it would definitely help alot. I have been looking at moving to a pillars but its alot of work in a done car.
