Syborg sighting
Check it out! I can't believe I came across Syborg like this. Look in the back ground of the pictures of this other really cool car. If this is all one person's collection, they've got good taste.

It's pretty cool to see it again. The new owner sent me a video of the truck after they got it back up and running.

It's a great looking truck. Always will be in my opinion. Just kind of funny to come across it in the background of an unrelated picture.

Funny I just looked at the pictures I posted and I think I have the hood pin prop rod in my warehouse. |
That's a dang good eye!

I see a red Syclone every day on my way to/from work. Always makes me think of this one, as it's the benchmark Syclone as far as I know.

BaT has taught me to look in the background of pictures as there are collectors and consignment brokers selling some cool stuff on a fairly regular basis. The comments section is typically filled with rather knowledgeable people that also do the same thing. What I missed the first time going through the pictures was the 10th Anniversary Firehawk that's in the collection. That's the black and gold TA towards the back. A commenter caught it though. Fairly rare bird. |

Looks like the ‘ol girl changed hands again at Barrett Jackson this Saturday. Was very early in the day and went for...wait for it...forty fricken thousand.

It was pretty cool to be there and see it sell |
Well dangit Marty, we shoulda met up. I was there all day Thursday and Friday.
So...did you buy it back at a steep discount? If not, do you know of the new owner? |

plus he is really a nice guy |
I wondered what it was going to go for, my guess was going to be $70k-$80 just cause of the history. $40k seems like a fairly good deal for it, what did it sell for last time?

Marty did you prefer the truck as a manual or as a auto?

Looking back if I build another Sonoma GT it will be an LS with a Manual and be more Prot-Touring. However that is going to be a long time from now as I have 3 Cars & 1 Truck that I am currently playing with. |
