After checking these out in person a few times, I'm definitely planning on using one on an upcoming build!

What kind of power are you getting from a mild ls1?

550-600hp pretty regularly. With a boost cam and the right supporting mods, even more.

We have had a stock 5.3 with just a boost cam make just shy of 600 to the wheels in an fbody.

What company’s boost cam?

Your results are very impressive.

Tj is very good at spec cams and engine builds. Those numbers on a stock 5.3 are impressive.

Is the oil for the supercharger self contained? If so, how often do you have to change it and how do you change it?

Interceptor5588 02-11-2018 12:06 PM

Let's see some Pontiac installs!

Yes it is. Only needs to be changed every 10K miles.

Torquestorm for a 351C

Do you have to change the compression ratio on a stock 351C with closed chamber heads for the torquestorm with it being so high stock?

There are a number of different variables that play a part in boosting your application. Cam profile, fuel type, compression, designated use of the vehicle etc. I believe your setup is around 11:1? Typically we would suggest around 9:1-9.5:1 for roughly 8-10# on your engine. Boost will raise that compression ratio.

For example an 11:1 engine with 8# of boost at roughly 600 ft above sea level is going to put you around 16.9:1 compression.

Feel free to email our sales staff, they are great at helping out the customer with their build.

Thanks! Any idea of the engine specs, and what HP results from your setup?

This is a customers car, it is a mild 400. Not sure on the output. But our supercharger should have no problem making 40-50% gains on an application like that. We have made 670hp on a 383 chevy. A gain of 200+hp over na

the bracketry looks expensive. must be milled from billet. seems hard to believe you can make any money at $2800 compared with other vendors tooled parts. what head unit do you use? what size volume options?

design looks robust. what belt drive size and how much wrap?

Yes we machine everything in house. We do our best to provide a great product that doesn't break the bank. We make our own head unit. Torqstorm superchargers is located in Wyoming Mi, we invite anyone to take a tour of our facility. We have one size supercharger at this time. It flows 1250 cfm and comes with a limited lifetime warranty. All of our systems are designated 8 rib belt drives.
