My late update on my 65 Riviera

Bought a nice orig paint 65 Riviera, sent it to Sled Alley, Roadster Shop chassis, Brian Thompson 427 like in Hellfire. 4L80E. Matt and my idiot friend Stielow are figuring out how to make it all work while keeping it orig paint and interior. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c58e1fceef.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d223ee655c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3e39e7723a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...87894dfcde.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0da13b87b0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...40fc3a215e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7ca09aa4c6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...752feb8089.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...35b820e88e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...86876798e0.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...b5d7874526.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...74f93e543b.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...d18c99d79d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...47bf5da9be.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...1b62819ea5.jpg

Absolutely love the early Rivs! What classic lines.
This will be such an awesome touring car. Hmmm....Hellfire & this animal in the garage? Or is this for GW to use on the tours?
Wonder if NOSLORIV will fit on a Cali plate? I guess not.

Ketzer 01-30-2018 07:37 AM

The whole thing is bada$$ but those fabbed up floorpans are crazy clean...amazing work!

Is there not a render...?!?

Jeff-

clill 01-30-2018 08:06 AM

No need for a rendering as it's gonna look about like it did at the beginning.

GregWeld 01-30-2018 08:20 AM

Don't wreck this one.....

:hitaxeonthehead:

camcojb 01-30-2018 08:47 AM

That's gonna be a great car Charley. :geezer:

Trick-Tools.com 01-30-2018 09:35 AM

Dang! This is going to be one sick Rivi! Really liking the fab work on the floor! Keep it up!

Musclerodz 01-30-2018 09:40 AM

Nothing like spending 100k and it look the same when your done. :peepwall:

WSSix 01-30-2018 09:57 AM

lol, nice take on the process, Mike.

Car looks great Charlie. Please keep us updated. This is going to be so cool.

clill 01-30-2018 10:08 AM

Maybe I can get it done before GW gets his POS done.

214Chevy 01-30-2018 10:19 AM

So sweet!! I second the sentiments of the floors Charlie.

WILWAXU 01-30-2018 10:56 AM

Looks like fun! Thanks for sharing.

dhutton 01-30-2018 11:05 AM

Ive had one of these on my bucket list but no point now. I’ll never come close to this.

One of the coolest cars ever imho.

Don, don't forget I'm coming by this Friday. I'll call you that morning.

grendel 01-30-2018 03:27 PM

I want to do a boat tail.

OLDFLM 01-30-2018 04:24 PM

Project "Roadhouse"

I've loved the 65's ever since the move Roadhouse! Just don't put a street sign through the windshield and it'll look great Charlie!

Power output on this Thompson 427 the same too?

Vince@Meanstreets 01-30-2018 05:03 PM

Good stuff Charley. Sled Alley ain't messin around.

Very clean car and metal work and fabrication is top notch, loved this gold one
From mike Goldman customs seen on the hof tour a few years back. Whatever you do don’t forget the matching (white banded) hat...

DBasher 01-30-2018 07:12 PM

A gentlemen’s hot rod, looks like the makings of a great road car.

Two things
1) dont **** it up with the wrong wheels
2) paint it gray

waynieZ 01-30-2018 08:29 PM

Charlie beautiful setup, this should be a comfy ride for Power Tour.
65 Rivera is one of the first models I ever built, always loved them. There was a black one with either silver grey or light blue gut in it in my neighborhood.

wiedemab 01-30-2018 09:02 PM

Can't wait to check this one out when completed. I love the theme....

Charley, you realize you have a sickness & I mean that in the most flattering way.
Only thing is yours requires more money to treat that the rest of us.
Between you and the Stielowmeister how can we compete?.....we can't but motivation is there.
Really nice build!

Very nice. :D

jeff71 01-31-2018 04:03 AM

It's about time you drove something other than a Camaro.

Gonna leave the interior stock?

Che70velle 01-31-2018 04:38 AM

Charley, I’m impressed, and confused. The car build is clean and will be a killer ride when done. But I didn’t see any pictures of you, or anyone, giving us the finger in the pics...what gives?

kwhizz 01-31-2018 05:05 AM

You will finally have a trunk that's big enough for a couple on folding chairs....

clill 01-31-2018 06:23 AM

Interior will remain pretty much stock. Maybe a grey stripe down the middle of the car like the grey Weld is gonna paint his pickup ?:catfight:

I love the '65s - I will admit I let one sit and rust out. I got it with a '67. The '67 had a Title and the '65 didn't. I was going to take the front clip and make a El Riviera but never did.
