Anyone make interior rear side panels with mini tubs 2nd gen F-Body

Does anyone make a widened interior side panel for a 2nd gen F-Body with mini tubs?

I see people cutting, stretching, and covering them. It would be awesome if they aren't produced if somebody could make them as many of these cars get tubbed!

Thanks,
Stan

Ideally it would be nice if wider ones existed, but the factory ones will work without much issue.

When you say work, Are you talking about modifying them or they can be flexed to fit?

Thanks,
Stan

Flexed to fit. Albeit, not very good. Most of the mini tubbed Camaro's nicer interiors have a custom whatever there and upholster it. Thats what i plan on doing. I had the seats narrowed (keith a customworks did the whole rear, he used a sub on the seats) and everything fits pretty good. I'm now eliminating the rear seats and going a different direction with the rear....

When I get home this afternoon I will look for pictures of Nicks red LSA Camaro. He actually removed the plastic and covered the hump with material and it fantastic.

Here is mine with the stretch.

I sent them this email yesterday, still waiting for a reply.....

To whom it may concern,

Are the quarter panels for stock wheel tubs, or widened (like Detroit Speed Mini Tubs)?

Do you have them without the sail panel part molded in as my car is a 71 and does not have the wrap around rear glass?

What are they made of?

are they grained and paintible or must they be covered?

Thanks,
Stan

I messaged them through Facebook and they responded. I have never done business with them but they seemed to be responsive

They said they were for the DSE mini tubs

Well. That is great news.

So when are you buying a set so you can tell us how the fit is ?

Just finishes messaging modern classics interiors on Facebook.

Here are some answers:

Are the quarter panels for stock wheel tubs, or widened (like Detroit Speed Mini Tubs)?
I modify them for wider tubs at $50 each

Do you have them for the early cars? my car is a 71 and does not have the wrap around rear glass?
I have them for both early and late.

Do you have them without the sailpanel made on them?
I can cut the top off and leave a little extra so you can fine tune the fit

What are they made of?
Fiberglass with white gelcoat

are they grained and paintible or must they be covered?
They are smooth

Shipping from Fort Wayne IN to central IL for the pair $150

Any mention of the lead time?

Or references?

Curious, looks like a route i'd like to go if the two above pan out.

stan65 04-10-2018 05:39 AM

I have been waiting for pictures of a 70-74 piece.

As far as lead time, this is copied right from the website....

Good luck. I have a console, but I bought it from an individual selling his on Ebay. Nicely made products.
