What are your favorite tools.
I know I have mine so I am just curious what you all view as your favorites, these can be literally any tool. Thanks for your answers and for giving a view into the shops and garages that make all of these cars possible.

My bead roller. I'm not that great at it but I love using it.
|
My everyday go to is my 14.4v snap on battery impact and mid length matco 3/8 sockets. The life of a GM tech.

Plasma cutter, then BFH. LOL.
Picked up the plasma cutter and had to control myself or all of the cutlery would have been "slightly modified" and wife would have been upset. Wish I had a gantry setup for the plasma cutter. Ah well, on the to do list with some programming. |
Without question -- Burr King 760....
Once you have a machine that can hog off metal - or with the right grit - it will polish.... Does all manor of shapes... Excellent tool for any shop. |
I love me some 20 volt Dewalt stuff , gear wrenches , oh and any tool I own that's paid for lmao
|
Just picked up some Milwaukee Fuel brushless motor 18v tools. Not sure I'll ever use air tools again.
Not like the older battery stuff I am used to. The impacts really work well, better than my air versions. https://www.northerntool.com/images/...64_700x700.jpg |
You younger members won't believe me, (at least not for another 20 to 30 years), but the one tool I seem to always be grabbing nowadays would be....my flashlight.
Damn, I sure wish I could see things like I used to! |

All of them. I think I work on stuff just to feed my tool addiction.

:y0!: just got this a week ago, it's already my favorite!

My Snap On body saw that takes sawzall blades is one of my favorites. It doesn’t stall like cheaper body saws. Another favorite is a Snap On die grinder that I install an arbor to hold small green 3M weld grinding discs. Does an awesome job dressing butt welds and grinding through old spot welds when doing panel replacement.
I also have an ancient Delta stationary disc grinder that I use to fine tune patch panels. A Burr King would be nice but I get by with this. Don |
The tool that after using I say, "How did I ever get along with out this" is my 3M mini belt sander:

Ugh. Another thread to cost me money...
FYI Amazon has 20% coupon on those 3M belt sanders at the moment. |
