They did only make extended cabs, but he had a wrecked Intimidator version and built this, appears to have done a very nice job

No salvage title, had a wrecked SS and a good 2007 truck and built this,it has the 6.0 and awd out of the SS in it,seems to be built very well.I bought it last night and having it shipped back to West Virginia,Steve can you recommend a good transport company in Vegas,I am flying out this week and arrange shipping.

tubbed69 12-21-2018 08:17 AM

I bought this truck in July and have done tons of work on it,had to rewire most of truck due to mixing wiring harness from 2 trucks, have all issues corrected now and have redone interior and added the chrome wheels.Very neat truck now but going to completely disassemble now and give it a very nice paint job.Truck is a lot of fun to drive,it has the 6.0 with all wheel drive and 4.10 gears.http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...psey7avacx.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...psgofyayqd.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...psdyqlaarl.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...pshp08bxp7.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...pswu6hkwhj.jpg

This is a serious question, but what makes the SS so cool? I assume its the difference between the AWD and the 4 wheel drive, but I really dont know.

WSSix 12-29-2018 05:01 PM

For one, this truck isn't an SS. They only made the SS in extended cab. The SS had specific front ends, wheels, and lower side panels. The work done to this truck to make it look like a real SS is extensive and it turned out great.

There was also a Vortec Max model that would give you the same engine in the 1500 without the looks of the SS.

Just like Trey says, they did not make a regular cab SS.The truck now looks like it was built by GM if you seen it in person.

Thanks Trey, they should have built this truck but the SS models were too expensive to be competitive.
