Paint for subframe
I am ready to paint my subframe and I am searching for a durable paint that can withstand heat, grease, etc. I can't powdercoat due to some body filler used to smooth out a few areas. Thanks

Three coats of SPI black epoxy.

I had painted the underside of my car in Aug 2017 with SPI black epoxy. I received a gallon in July2017 along with the activator. Wondering if it still good, it has been in the cabinet since we used it in Aug. 17.

Should be ok but give it a good stir to make sure pigment hasn’t separate. Activator will be ok.
Any doubts mix up a small amount and do a spray out test panel. Don |

I called SPI again and asked about the shelf life of the Activator. They said once you open the activator it is good for 1 year.

Im painting my subframe and firewall with Dupont Imron Industrial reduced gloss paint. Supposed to be good stuff and used by builders on the forum. Will let you know how it turns out.
