1955 four door wagon, kind of ugly but angry as heck

bought for 5k. chassis 15k, summer of welding floor pans . going to start with 496 580 hp hyd roller fast efi/T56 magnum, strange 3:91 and Baer 14" 6s. collecting parts for hi hp engine lighter after I get accustomed to car driving habits. my build season is coming to end, I have outdoor shop and live at 7000 ft in CA.

I'm much better at building than describing

Bakaruda 10-08-2019 01:32 PM

Dare to be different! It's cool.

Ketzer 10-08-2019 01:41 PM

I'm a huge fan of wagons...and anything different!!
I have a 54 wagon I'm building with LS2, AWD chassis...

Did you fab the chassis using front/rear kits or is it a full-frame manufactured by someone?
I'm interested in finding some upper C/O brackets like you used to gain some shock travel for a current build I'm doing.

It's a Schwartz chassis...unless I'm wrong.

Ahh. I didn't think Schwartz because I didn't see the 'hoops' that help anchor his upper shock mounts like on most (many) of his chassis'.
Thanks.

got my blazer fuel tank with hellcat pump, looks like it is perfect fit, now I can build filler, finish cargo floor and mini tubs. got lots of expired 2 part sealer from work for floor boards seams and cowl overlap areas. Coilovers showed up also. next week will be a busy one for me

Sorry, just saw this. The headers in the picture are mid length Hedmans that actually fit the chassis pretty well, I just used them for mock up as they're only 1 3/4" primary. Dan Lemons make the keeper set and they are beautiful.

after months of cleaning, grinding and welding it very nice seeing a lot of progress in short time, still. need to make firewall doubler for couch and brake master. dual sync distributor cap hits firewall and will need some work, didn't realize it was so much taller. c10 headers fit with good steering shaft clearance

Looking good, Mike!

I take it you won't be needing calipers anymore? Looks like you have some used 6S monsters on there!

I thought having a floor was a huge upgrade, although working on carpet makes finding dropped hardware ease. my cummins powered 59 surburban
