Very nice PT Firebird. Looks like he spent the time and money to do it right.
|
Damn, that's a mean looking ride.
|
Thats a sweet ride, better looking than most camaro's glad to differnet f-body.
|
looks like someone is going to get a bargain. That car is well done.
|
i remember this car when it was at Compfab getting some work done. Very nice and well worth the money
|
I love the Fikse FM5s... hate the big hood.
|
whats with the ladder bar rear suspension, and why have a 4" cowl hood with an LS1?? other than that it looks like a nice ride!

Damn that looks nice, Thanks for the link
|
Very nice, but I would change the hood to the Pontiac Ram Air Hood that should be on there. Otherwise badass.
|
That has to be the best looking Firebird I have ever seen. Just think I could have got a good firebird project for $2000. LOL

I agree, I think it's one of the nicest birds I've seen aswell. I still think 1st gens need a rear spoiler of some sort to finish it off.
|
My 67 camaro will be sporting the no spoiler look as well. I think it makes the car look ultra clean.
Mike |
eh i dunno about no spoiler. i guess ive seen a few cars that pull it off, but you need to have your stance nailed along with some really nice wheels with proper offsets.
and that hood does kinda suck. that car minus the hood would be perfect. |

Nice car! It's painted the same color as the stripes on my old '69 Camaro.. it's actually lighter than it is showing in the Ebay pics.
Sweet car! |

Quote "This is a show car, but built to drive on the street. The car was scheduled for a photo shoot August 13'th for a feature article in Popular Hotrodding magazine (one of my goals during the build) but was cancelled due to the fact that I would not take the car down the 1/4 mile at Rt. 66 here in Joliet, IL at the Super Chevy show and apparently that was a pre-requisite for the shoot."
Steve, you bullys! I was not aware of the must race rule? Car looks nice, but I hate the fuel cell. Does anyone else think the Big hood and front spoiler combination looks funky? |
im not much of a fan of front spoilers on firebirds period. but the car is awesome other wise.

T/A hood...spoiler...lose the front air dam. Other than that it's a killer ride.
|
Sweet bird indeed, looks like a nice piece.

For a '67 Firebird, I would of took the $45k and ran. |

"bring the car to the track and we will do a photo shoot" Let me think about it  I am on my way  Scott |
I know why PHR wants that and I think its a good idea.

yup the big hood is no good. Looks like a weird cross between drag race and road race. If he had a poncho motor, I could see why he would need the hood, but with the LS1 it doesn't make any sense, unless he just liked the way it looked. I have a 3" cowl hood instead of the killer ram air hood on my car, but on second gens carburetor clearance is even worse. The flat hoods don't give you any clearance whatsoever

Hell, what's the big deal about doing a pass or two.. you don't have to max-effort it.. As Steemin, it's no big deal. Our readers want drivable cars not one's that can even handle a pass or two. -- I don't know the whole deal since it was a Johnny thing, but I think the main problem was that he said "ok" then backed out.. that ticks you off when you travel thousands of miles for a shoot.. |

Besides, the shoot was going to be of our "Editors Pick" from the race.. obviously you have to at least make one run to be "the pick".. lol Our readers want drivable cars not one's that can even handle a pass or two. -- I don't know the whole deal since it was a Johnny thing, but I think the main problem was that he said "ok" then backed out.. that ticks you off when you travel thousands of miles for a shoot.. |

Reminds me of the guys with the mustang 5.0's with the triple stacker dual scoop ram air cowl hoods, with a stock motor under it L-A-M-E lol
