Greg Weld has been gone a Year
We lost him a year ago yesterday! Miss You Buddy!

I think about him and his family all the time. Definitely missed.

I was thinking about him the other day as well when i saw his face as someone's profile picture. Miss his attitude and everything he provided for the community. Wish i had the pleasure of knowing him better and meeting him in person at one of the events.

Gone but never forgotten. He loved this community and gave freely of his time and knowledge, truly one of a kind guy. I wish his family the best, and am very appreciative of the time we got to "borrow" him here on the site.

I was fortunate to get to speak with him a couple weeks before he passed. Nothing was said about sickness, just a solid hour of cars. Oh the conversations we would be having about all this covid crap. Miss him often.

At Laguna Seca i introduced myself. The rest was history. A half a dozen track days, the Lat-g dinners and of course the GG's road tours. Live life while you can. Thanx for the memories bud. I'll never forget em....Mike |
Not sure I have the words to express how I feel. I miss him greatly and I am reminded of him constantly.

I think about him all the time. I remember seeing him at Sema with his family. I’ll never forget him and all that have walked through my life and passed away way to soon. Cancer sucks and my heart goes out to everyone suffering the loss of someone they loved.

I'm going to go ahead and post this.
I was there, in the background, when the pic above was posted. What a lot of you don't know is Mike battled Leukemia right after that pic was taken. I don't know how he is doing today though, I last saw him at the Marriot Texas Motor speedway in September of '19, he was weak with kemo but in good spirits. The crew at CHRA was nothing but class, I hope he is doing well Reading this still chokes me up a little, just glad the little bastard isn't here to see it. M |

Just returning home from a trip to Sun Valley with Adrienne for her birthday. In true Weld fashion we celebrated his birthday on the road checking out the sites and talking to random people in the middle of nowhere U.S.A.. Its amazing how many people Greg was able to impact, not just us here on LatG but the people of Ketchum (Sun Valley) and surrounding areas. Not car people but bartenders-he didn’t drink- house keepers, neighbors, coffee shop owners, gun dealers, restaurant workers....A real eye opener on the way people should treat each other. Truly not many like him.
