Does anyone know of anyone in the market for this beauty? It was appraised at 130K. I have it insured through Hagerty for 120K. I'm a motivated seller and am open to reasonable offers but won't give it away. This is a real Corvette with a clear title, not a kit car. Let me know, thanks. [email protected]

Barrett Jackson... Problem with BJ is that I would incur so many costs to get there, participate, plus his post sale fees (especially for a reserve price car) are highway robbery. I just can't afford to play in that arena.

Most everything is no-reserve now, not even sure he does reserve auctions anymore.

If you try to list that car at Mecum now they will give you a bad # but if you go to them and show them the car they WILL make room for it. It is a Bad A$$ looking car and would do very well at Mecum. :thumbsup:

It's a niche market. The hardest part is finding someone who absolutely must have the car but also has the money to pay for it.

You should try. E-mail some pictures to Dana Mecum, he is the owner. I would think he would try to give you a favorable number if he is able, it is a very nice car, and I don't think your price is out of line. It is going to be a great event from the looks of the consignment list.

I called them yesterday and was told I'd get a call back but didn't yet. I'll have to call again Monday and ask for his e-mail address unless someone has it...

I'm with you.My Cuda is on Ebay as we speak I figure,I will be looking at 4-5 grand to get it there get, plane tickets ,a place to stay,etc,8% to sell it on my end 8% on the buyers end.On 100 grand B/J is making some good money.But I do beleive it is the only auction that brings that kind of price.[No Reserve AHHHHH]

The Mecum auction is local and they have been selling the heck out of cars. If you need a trailer to get it there i can haul it for you since your local

where are you located? KRUSE auctions is having an auction at barrys speed shop in corona california. the info if up in the events section. 250 to run the car throught the auction pluse 10% the selling price i beleive. not sure about any reserve issues but i am sure either barrys or the kruse web site can help you...................i agree.........absolutly phenominal car my freind! i am popping one for you. :captain:

Cool on the Leno lead. They are a great group of guy's i've talked with them many times at car shows.

Jay called yesterday and left a message thanking me for thinking of him but that he wouldn't be interested in the car. He said he gets hundreds of offers a week and that he mainly likes the older classics. Oh well, it was worth a try and very cool to have a message on your answering machine from Jay Leno.

Man i thought i was special when i talked to JFK JR i think you win. You got a message from Leno all i have from him is an autograph.

Yea, I told my wife to leave in on there for a while so I could play it for all my friends.

I think it's very cool that he took the time to call you back considering all the calls he must get. My respect for him is way up.
