Well guys, I have finally gotten the 73' close to perfection and ready for a new owner. Most of you know the 69' Camaro I built and sold to a great guy down in Atlanta ... so you all know the quality of the work that goes into my vehicles, and the price I am asking is very fair. At least 1000 hours in this one

I truly believe that this is a one of a kind FJ40 that someone will be EXTREMELY happy with. I built this one to be on par with some of the Cruisers that come out of Icon and The FJ Company, but much cheaper.

But 1st, here are the highlites of the build;

BODY & PAINT - Original 1973 front cab / frame with Aqualu aluminum tub and tailgate with full custom soft top by Relik Garage, complete strip to bare metal, epoxy coated, painted in Audi Nardo Grey, frame blasted and powder coated, custom rear tire & cooler carrier and custom front bumper by 4Plus Products. Full custom LED lighting, Icon 4X4 side mirrors and custom roll cage by MetalTech

ENGINE / DRIVETRAIN - 6.0L LS with MSD Atomic Air Force intake tuned @ 490 HP and 440 FT Lb.'s Torque, GM Bellhousing conversion, GM NV4500, Advance Adapter’s conversions, 60’ Series transfer case, OE differentials 4:11’s

ELECTRICAL - Dakota Digital HDX FJ40 Dash with GPS, FJ40 Vintage Air Gen 4, American Autowire Highway 15, GM Engine management system by PSI Wiring, custom power windows, custom LED signal Lighting

SUSPENSION / STEERING - BTB Safari springs 4” lift, Fox ISF 2.0 Shocks, BTB reverse shackle conversion, 80 Series power steering conversion with GM Column

WHEELS - SCS Ray 10 wheels 17”x9” in satin black, 35” Nitto Trailgrappler tires

BRAKING SYSTEM - Custom Hydroboost system provided by Hydrotech, front Wilwood 6-Piston big brake kit with conversion kit, GM disc conversion rear and push-button electronic emergency brake

INTERIOR - Interior design by New Image Interiors, Nardi 360 Steering wheel, FJ40 Dash pad, Corbeau LRI heated front seats from the UK, with matching rear seat made just for this truck from PRP. Custom diamond stitch door panels / rear panels and carpet, Sony Head Unit with reverse camera, JL Audio.4 way power amp with Infiniti Kappa Speakers, and custom tweeters in the roll-bar

Thanks guys .... yes, without a doubt this is an excellently built truck that someone will be extremely happy with. Ya it doesn't carve corners, but I can guarantee 2 things ... you'll never get stuck and its a blast to drive !! Actually 3 things ... you get LOTS of attention

Just ignore all the folk that say "I love your Jeep" LOL

Just like any auction site, it'll take off the last day if it's going to. Usually, if a car takes off early, it's basically a person staking their claim to the car and challenging anyone to out bid them and it rarely takes off after that. There's been some exceptions. The 300k M3 and 240Z. There was also the 03 M5 with over 100k miles that hit $50k. Yes, I enjoy BaT:D

It was going to be the Defender, but after more investigation I have changed my mind.

AND so ... I've been looking for one of these for years and stumbled across this yesterday, and thankfully made a deal with the guy before it launched on BAT this week !! I am SO stoked, this is going to be a friggin amazing, super rare build

Build ... 700Hp LSA, 5 speed trans, Update interior, custom dash, AC, full disc with Hydroboost ... and a few other items, will be the 1st of it's kind to this level

Congrats Steve - I see where this is going since you set the record on bat for a 40 I’m sure with the lsa the killer pig will do the same - looking forward to the build thread here on latg - i recall seeing a pig at dse in metal not too long ago / glad these cruisers are finally getting some love and thx to bat and builds like yours icon etc they are going up and up - there are some cruiser heads here on Latg 👍

So these Piggies are so rare, and parts are so rare I am (and I always say this) going to build this one as if its for me ... In fact I was going to keep the blue R2.8 FJ40 but now I found the 55, my 66' R2.8 will go up for sale in the spring.

As soon as I have the 55 in hand I will start the build
