This build is slow as a Dead Cat...
Well, my car has been home for about 1.5 months and I am struggling to find the time between wife, kids and work. Jim Pettigrew finished my twin master set-up that uses the stock pedals. All of my accesories have been bolted on for the final time and so is the front susupension. Here are a few pics.

looks farther along than mine :)
Looking good Payton! |
yea
but you actually get to work on yours. I am guessing you will be driving in 3 weeks. I will be happy if mine is done in 3 months
|
3 months HA!!!! Its taken me 3 years to get the doors hung on my car. Yes I worked on it this weekend. Relax it will work out.

I know the feeling bud, I really do... I started Bad Ast two years ago and am no farther along now then I was then... At least real stuff. I have redesigned it three times since then on the computer but this is getting old... What I did get done has been cut up and relegated to the scrap pile...

Hell, I try not to even look at mine, no money, no time, at least yours is assembled,
|
thanks for the kind words
I am motivated, just no time. I need to order a few more parts and then I am going to take a week off of work and knock out 10 hour days on this thing and see it I can not move this project along.
I was pushing hard to make the Power Tour...in 2005. That is how long this thing has been delayed. |

i think i am having fun - however my wife just told me that the 1 day a week that i work on the truck is to much.
Huh - wonder when i am going to work on it agian. |
Budget? I do not know that word
maybe I will "Google" it and get the definition. I thought I was going to have $20,000 in this build when I started 4.5 years ago. Ain't that a hoot!

:-)
Well,
Thats a refreshing thread.... One i can COMPLETELY relate too! I sold the coupe for the "complete and running" convertible because i figured i would never have time to finish it....Now, the 'vert is on jackstand in the shop awaiting a hand brake cable replacement and a wiper linkage fix so i can go pass 'out of state' inspection to finally plate it and go for a ride before snow comes in.... I WILL SUCCEED!!! (well i sure hope i will...) I just need to be remembered once in a while that this is a hobby, thats all...(yeah right!) :willy: :willy: :willy: Lead. |

Don't worry Payton, you will be done soon. Just be determined and you will finish. |

  Love it! The guyS just delivered the new ''Stainless'' stove 20 minutes ago...(From now on i'll call it "THE BLANK") Lead. |
Well....
I headed her off at the pass. 2 weeks before my car came home I bought her an M3 Convertible. When it came home she wanted to say "what in the hell, I thought you were just painting it?" but instead she said "looks like you worked hard...and changed some things too." I can tell she is dying to rip me a new one. LOL

Looks good, Payton! |
"the new BLANK"
i dont have a wife or kids, i just have A.D.D. when it comes to my own cars, i find it easier to start a new project rather than continue to be motivated on the "old" ones |
M3 vert...Damn!! Hey your car is awesome-some sticktoitiveness-you'll get there man.
|
I wish time was the problem I had... the earning and spending potential of a college studen in SoCal is not very conducive to building a car!
looking good though payton, you are at the spot most of us can only see on the edge of the horizon. |
When I had the time I had no money.
Now that I have the money (or at least some) I have no time. Go figure... But that's life. Paul |
