Heads came in, got the pushrod length figured out and all the geometry setup. This thing is getting close!

Hmm maybe my heads will come in someday.
Looks sweet  |
That is going to be one good looking hunk of aluminum. What did you use for a rotating assembly?

Scat crank and rods and Diamond custom pistons. Jody |
Jody, what happened with the GM heads? I thought one of Ross's goal was to "Keep his GM car all GM."
Then again the AFR's are a HUGE step up in terms of flow. |

Probably 75-100 HP above what he had. The GM (Edelbrock) heads have a funky chamber shape and many pistons don't fit. His would have required major work to make them fit, so he and I talked and thankfully he ended up selling the GM heads and buying AFR's. Jody |
thanks Jody!
It is sure nice to see some real progress on the ZL-1! It has been pretty crazy I must say with all of the "problems" that have reared their ugly heads  . And major thanks to Jody for putting up with me and that big pile of aluminum! :hail:
