Best 7" LED Headlights

I am looking to replace my headlights on my 72 nova. Just wondering what people recommend. Currently looking at Holley's "BRIGHT EARTH - 7" ROUND LED HEADLIGHTS".

I used Philips H6024LED on my 68 Camaro and i'm very happy with them.

We have sold several of the Holley 7" headlights and customers have been very happy with them, looks and performance.

In terms of best lighting, there are better options than the Holley.

In terms of pretty good lighting, direct fit, and look correct you can't beat the Holley.

A good question:
I put the Truck-Lite 27270s in my '68 Camaro. They were "pretty good".

A couple years later I coughed up the dough to buy the JW Speaker 8700s. Wow, they are very good! Definitely better than any sealed beams. But wow they were expensive...

It looks like Anvil has quite a few headlight options. I'm looking for something with more or a blacked out look for my 69 firebird to replace my stockers. Does anyone have experience with any of these?

Maybe something like either of the below:

I went with these. LED Seven's. Still sitting in the box, but pretty impressive units.

Are you guys still running relays for led headlights?

dontlifttoshift 09-21-2022 07:14 AM

I don't see that as necessary. If the headlight switch could handle the sealed beams it can certainly handle the leds amperage requirements.

I"m running relays. My light's came with them so I assumed I needed them. I guess it's for the "switchback" option where the white halo turns to amber and blinks as the blinker.

Holley RetroBright

I got my Holley RetroBright LEDs installed this weekend... plug-n-play.

I got the modern bright white and can say that for normal driving conditions they are definitely and upgrade over HID headlights.

The HIDs have a yellowish old-school look while the RetroBrights that I went with have the modern bright white like my 2019 GMC Sierra.

The RetroBrights design also looks more like the OEM lights vs the nipple look of the HIDs FWIW.

The Holley lights look very similar to stock. We have sold several and customers have been happy with them. They are also an easy install on Camaros/Firebirds.
