Jim,

You had emailed these pics to me, they were so compressed i could barely see them!!

But regardless, this will be a BADASS ride... just promise me i'll get a ride :D

Ricochet 03-15-2005 08:27 AM

Looks killer Kris. I can't wait to see Jim make it reality!! Great concept!!

Ummgawa 03-15-2005 08:37 AM

It is on the way. I am having the rear piece(speedster) made now.

BC69 03-15-2005 09:17 AM

That looks awesome, especially those rollbars!! That is awesome. Do you have any other angels of the car to get a better shot at your concept for those.
Looks awesome!

Speedster

I really like the speedster idea. Are you going to have a working top as well?

Ummgawa 03-15-2005 12:31 PM

Yes, My intent is to have a fully functional top (manual) underneath the removable speedster piece.

Again I say my Intent....

ryans67deuce 03-15-2005 12:38 PM

WOW!!! Looks awesome Jim, fantastic project you have there!! Another great job by Kris, too!!! You do some amazing work man!

That is going to be awesome! Very nice!

Jim,

Looks great, I like your final decision on the paint!.....Just out of curiosity, do you plan on having the "speedster" piece breakdown to fit in the car if you were out somewhere and it started raining etc....If you had to put the top up, will it be portable?...I think it is an awesome idea, and will look great.

Five Views

Kris and I emailed today, he said he'd have 5 different angles by this afternoon (remember 7 O'Clock in Sunny California is 10:00 on the east Coast-LOL).
Thanks for the good feedback and Thanks again Jody for the paint scheme.

Kris Horton 03-15-2005 10:20 PM

Glad everyone digs the renderings. Jim's car is gonna rule. I haven't finished the other views just yet, had a lot of work today!

I broke my own record, I finished a car in one (1) day. Wow. I'm actually sore...

Stay tuned. I'll post em when they're done later this evening.

Jim, I've thought about some type of hard cover for quite a while. Is yours adaptable to 69's in general? Just a plain hard cover? BTW - looks terrific!

XcYZ 03-16-2005 07:43 AM

Here you go, looks great.

Wow!! That really looks great Jim. I can't wait to go for a spin.

Rick

My piece is being made out of 14-16 guage. A whole lot of metal work and fabricating. I hope I can have it duplicated in Fiberglass and sell a few. I couldn't be the only one that likes it... :D

Rick Dorion 03-16-2005 09:31 AM

I'm interested, seriously. Keep in touch, please.

Also, I'd be interested in buying a poster if you print some up.

Uhmmm, I second that Jim. :D

Ummgawa 03-16-2005 07:28 PM

When I get the rear piece finished, I am going to have a few made out of fiberglass (hopefully) to check interest in the part for other vert owners. I think the 67-8's are simular, We'll see.

Ummgawa 03-18-2005 08:57 PM

ttt again :unibrow:

BC69 03-18-2005 09:02 PM

Well since you are bringing it back up again, I will say amazing again!

Thanks for those other shots Scott, much better look at the speedster piece!

Count me in bud, I would gladly add that one to my collection.

Steve Chryssos 03-19-2005 04:32 PM

Jim,
Is it one roll bar with two humps--like a Boxter, or is it two separate hoops?

Ummgawa 03-19-2005 05:03 PM

One roll bar two Hoops, reinforced below the speedster section for strength.
