The G-maro is almost complete

Hey guys,

Ive been lurking around for a while, mostly listening and learning. I started this project a little less than 2 years ago and it required a lot of metal work. My son and I honed our welding skills on this car and it was a great learning experiance. The car has all the DSE stuff, mini tubs/coil relocation uppers and lowers /shocks and steering gear/ 3" drop etc. We went with a mowtown 427 allum. heads a tko-600 and a moser 12 bolt shortened to accommodate the 315s. Anyway I thought you guys would like to see it and thanks for all the support this site has given me, Im amazed at the craftmanship and knowledge you guys have. THANKS Rich

Looks great, homebuilt cars are my favorite! Anyone with enough money can "buy" their way into this hobby. Its great that you and your son both learned from this project, now you can go enjoy it now that its done  Any other shots of the car?

Thanks Guys

Not really sure what the color is called , I started with emerald turquoise, but when I did a test shot I thought the color was to light. So I took a sample of it to the Dupont catalog and found code 34 - Its a color from a 92 chevy truck. In the catalog It was about 3 shades darker than the emerald turquoise, took home a pint and shot an old lower valence I had laying around, the wife was kind enough to live with it in the TV room for a week. We loved it and the rest is history.

Hopefully some day I will get this thing out on a power tour and meet some of you guys. I sent a bunch more pics to Scott for him to post in the members rides section.

The only thing I didnt get to do to the car that I really want is a throttle body fuel injection system. Hopefully Frank from prodigy can help me out with some direction to go. I set up the fuel system for it, but I have no idea where to get the manifold modified for injector bungs. And the whole tuning issue gives me stress. Im an old school carb guy! But Im ready to move on.

Thanks again Rich
