Project "Cool Ranch" - paint scheme poll
5 Attachment(s)
Hi Guys,
Just wanted to get some opinions on potential paint schemes. Let us know what you think of these, pick your favorite ! Thanks, Steve |
Silver / Razberry GMV.
IMO, I think using the molding as the dividing line would provide a more subtle two tone divider. Then introduce a third color (thin pinstripe) coming out of the molding for where the molding doesnt cover. Either way, looks like a way cool ride ! Post some pics when you have some to share. |
Great looking project. Go with the silver/razberry for sure.
|
I like the chocolate/cocoa scheme.
Oops, rootbeer/Orange |
i like the silver blue but you need to slightly chop the top. when you have lighter color on the top it make sthe roof look taller. If you go with the darker color it kind of visually chops the top. I love the rootbeer and brown proportions but the silver and blue is a fresher idea.

i like number 3 the burgundy and champagne
|
I had to vote #5, but #3 is a good combo too, just needs the silver on the bottom, not the top.
|
#1
I Like #1 Because Its Not The Same Ole Scheme..its Classy
Leave The Bright Colors For The Sporty Body Styles... Love The Wagon ..its Very Cool ..keep Us Updated Radrambler |
I voted for the first one also.. check out maybe the root beer with a cream color on bottom.
|
Thanks for taking the time to vote, much appreciated! Love to hear any comments, suggestions or feedback that you may have. Keep it coming ! :D

Instead of the silver there is a color in the PPG Euro chips that looks almost like the straight grey in the picture. It has a lot of pearl in it so when the light hits it it looks heavy metallic. Very different as there are a lot of silver schemes around. Maybe throw a rasberry candy over the grey till it is quite dark.
Cool looking project. I have the paint code somehwere if you need it. |
Go with something you probably will not see very often, I voted Rootbeer/Orange

re
The rootbeer/orange is the way on that style.
|
I like the silver/razberry but I would tone the silver down, Looks like a cool project :)
|
I voted for number 5. I've always believed that a good two-tone should have the darker color on top. I think it makes for a much more dramatic finish to the vehicle.
|
I say Root Beer /Orange. Cool project.

the root beer is very original/unique... and still looks slick. nice renderings.
|
Go with the silver/blue IMO.....Great looking project.
|
#4 is my fav.
|
My thought would be the first two colors are "what's hot now" I voted the first color. The third color is a solid combo will last any changes in what's hot now.
The forth and fifth are just to blue and ok but smell like grandpa. |
Torn between #3 and #4. I voted #3...it just seemed warmer to me.
|
i hope this car is painted by now since its been 2 years... :D

Lexus has a root beer color called "Tigereye Mica" on their 2 door hardtop convertible SC. I like the Lexus color, but it would look much better on a custom. The color is a love it or hate it. |
Rootbeer and orange for sure. It just seems to fit so well with that bodystyle. For me it wasn't even close.
