It is about 3.5hours from me, so about 6.5 for you.
Well worth it though if you have the time. This weekend is Goodguys Charlotte anyway, make it a weekend roadtrip.

Clsccmro 10-24-2006 07:05 PM

I wouldn't miss it!

yellowrallys 10-24-2006 10:05 PM

I'll be there as well as Goodguys Charlotte.

Sad to say I didn't get to go- I was one of the back-up pilots for the AirShow this weekend, and I wound up having to fly friday. I really tried to fly into Charleotte for a 6-8 hr refuel, but we had to be on deck by 1730 (530pm for you civilians). Nothing glamourous, just a few banked turns in my old P-3C beast. Not quite Blue-Angel material!

Stuart Adams 10-29-2006 04:04 PM

They fed over 300 people, no one had a camera??

B Schein 10-29-2006 04:21 PM

I was there but forgot my camera. It poured down rain all day on Friday so that might have hampered the turnout.

They are finally working on that mustang that used to sit out back. And the second gen with the mini-tub looks pretty awesome. Was your car their Stuart I saw your ls7 on the engine stand but wasn’t sure which car was yours.

Stuart Adams 10-29-2006 05:20 PM

My car is all metal, kinda blends with all the rest. Looking forward to driving that motor!!

B Schein 10-29-2006 05:25 PM

Is it the one with pulled in bumbers and the Z06 wheels

Stuart Adams 10-29-2006 05:36 PM

I don't know. Have not seen it a couple months.

They must have decided it wasn't going to rust away so the next best thing was to fix it.

Are you talking about 1965-1968 mustang? If so, DSE put a 04 cobra motor in it. It was nice to see a NON fastback mustang receiving attention

No Camera - I'm an idiot!

I was there and my dumbass left my digital camera at home with the wife. This was my first visit to there shop. I was impressed. It was very nice. I also got to hang out with one of my old college buddies that now works for DSE, so it was a cool trip.

We always make it to Goodguys Charlotte too.

Sorry, I'm no help with the pics - I've got a mental image of the shop in my head, concentrate really hard and see if you can see it - J/K

Later,

Brandon
