A few pics of my car, Orion by Marquez Design

SEMA just ended and I thought I would share a few pictures of my car,it is not completed yet.It was blocked once and shot with an exopy sealer.

These pics were taken outside in the parking lot of SEMA.

Looks sweet. I don't care if Fatlife says there overkill, I like the mono blocks! Wheels look sweet!

mazspeed 11-04-2006 12:57 AM

Awesome

71Nova 11-04-2006 01:16 AM

I just noticed your exhaust outlets. They are very trick looking. Did you make those or buy them? What color are you going to go with? Do you have any interior or engine pictures?

Rybar 11-04-2006 01:30 AM

That looks effen sick :hail: Man the rubber and the stance is menacing! Great Job

The car is being built by Marquez Design, they fabricated that.I never took any interior or engine pictures. It will be painted green with a hockey stripe.

slck6t9 11-04-2006 01:46 AM

Absolutely SWEET!!! They are doing a great job with the build. I especially like the exhaust.

I haven't been commenting much on this forum but I really have to say that the stance and the wheels and tires look absolutely amazing! The flat gray makes for a way cool sleeper effect... you sure you want it painted? How about some flat clear coat and a stealthy look?

trapin 11-04-2006 05:48 AM

Jon...that's about as killer a stance as you can get. Mean looking. That's going to be a terrific car. I love the fact that you're going green too. It'll really set the car apart.

rocketrod 11-04-2006 06:56 AM

Awesome looking ride! Whatever happened to the other Camaro, after the fire, you were having built?

907rs 11-04-2006 07:04 AM

As I've said before Jonny, congrats. The recognition the car received is well deserved.

And to everyone that hasn't seen this car in person, pictures do this car no justice. You could study it for an hour and not see all of the tricks Pasqual and the boys incorporated into this thing.

Stuart Adams 11-04-2006 07:14 AM

Awesome car. Love it. Even without paint - one of the best camaros at SEMA.

Sales@Dutchboys 11-04-2006 07:35 AM

What wheels are those?

jimhamptons 11-04-2006 07:36 AM

Jon, congrats on a nice car!

Steve68 11-04-2006 07:45 AM

What are mono blocks?? what wheels are you running, they look like Fiskes, car looks awsome, what color green are you going with, Deep Fathom Green Metallic myself, 69 color, Steve

jonny51 11-04-2006 09:17 AM

Thanks for all the nice compliments! The wheels on the car are HRE 843R's.

Rod,we still are working on getting the other 69 finished and then it will go up for sale.

Monoblocks are the brakes (calipers)

yeah well, they kinda go with the theme of the car which is overkill but hey its definetly killer! IMO its too low but man is that a nice car. I am really impressed, that is definetly what a high-end PT car should look like, not these over-the-top street rods that we see so often these days. Marquez really outdid themselves and is showing that they are really a high end shop! I was really impressed by the engine bay too(post some pics of that too). Man I might be leghumping here so you might want to copy and paste this post and put it in the archives but that is a badass car. Even if it is more of a trophy than a street machine(maybe its both?). I like it

Ditto! killer car, stance and wheels are everything!!

Jon, It really looks great. I was blown away with the work that Pasqual and his guys have done on the radiator support, the tight panel gaps, and with the front and rear bumper mods. Awesome work everywhere you look on this car....and it's not even finished yet! ...Boy, I can't wait to see what kind of car you'll build for Quinn someday! -Rob

BC69 11-04-2006 11:50 AM

Awesome! I LOVEEE the exhaust!!! That just looks for professional and seemless!! Really a great job!!!

The welds on the intake and manifolds are swweeeettttttt

Huxsol81 11-04-2006 12:34 PM

Jonny,
your car is right on in my book!

Datsbad 11-04-2006 12:38 PM

Johnny , I wanted say simply awesome . I loved the wheels(I wonder why?), brakes (again ???) , the cage, the interior etc... Boys seems like I saw that all somewhere before...

I really doubt that you will be driving it at the "show stance" but it sure looked great sitting there.
The Turbo exhaust was amazing along with the front rad support .
The rear exhaust was great also , definately one the highlights on the car .

I do have to say that I am surprised that unfinshed cars are allowed into SEMA and that you would want to show it unfinished.

Either way great car , I also like the green paint !

Datsbad 11-04-2006 12:41 PM

Post up the front and rear tire/wheel sizes when you can
Also is that a Alston front chassis?
And what size are the turbos?

I'm pretty sure the car will be driven at that height. The front fenders were modded (two fenders to make one) and the rear inner fenderwells were sectioned to all the wider track width and complete tire clearance at that height.

The front subframe is one of the rare Wayne Due subs he did before closing that uses DSE components but allows the 275 front tire clearance.

Wow , I looked undeneath and it sure didnt have much ground clearance.
Either way , Nice car for sure. It has many touches I like

I had thought that Pascual told me that it was at the ride height they were going to use, but I could be wrong.

Johnny, clear out your PM box. Great car. Sits very agressive and is "All Business."

DRJDVM's '69 11-04-2006 03:31 PM

Absolutely awesome. You have to see the car in person to really appreciate alot of the subtle mods Pacual did and the craftsmenship that has been put into this car.

It was great to meet and talk to you at the show too.

Jonny,

It looks great as is! I might be coming in late, but are there any build photos?

Jason, how ya doing? Good to meet you at SEMA. No time to talk, maybe next time.

Alot of cars are not finished totally, the business represented at the booth is what SEMA is about. If the business has a unfinished car at their booth that is their option. It seems weird but its not a car show, the cars come with a business or theme or manufacturer. Last year Blowfish was all metal and not even close to being done.

Your car would look good there! Its an awesome car.

Sales@Dutchboys 11-04-2006 04:49 PM

Well......I dont really care what people are saying if I were him....Even though he got some ideas from another car...I think they are put together better than anything ive seen so far...

I agree, very well thought out car. I love it.... :hail:

JayR 11-04-2006 06:56 PM

Mean and nasty!!! And the wheels and stance are KILLER!!
Great work, Pasqual and congrats on the SEMA debut, Jonny!

Ummgawa 11-04-2006 07:01 PM

Pictures simply do not do justice to how wicked Johnny's car is. I could not be more serious.

Jonny has thousands of build shots and we'll be putting together something really cool on the build of the car that will show the countless mods. This list of mods is pages long. The craftsmanship that Marquez showcased on this car is on par with anything at SEMA. It has to be studied to be appreciated.

Thanks Scott. I can't wait!

Beautiful car. When I met Pascual 2 years ago, I knew he and his guys had the "passion" it takes to build cars like this. To me, this car is over the top and in a class of it's own. Cars like this are cars that you go look at, think about it, go look at it again and everytime you study it, you see more. It's not a "in your face" show car, it's a work of art. Congrats Johnny, it's beautiful.

I do have a a problem with Pascual, he is a lightweight, going to bed at 9:00pm in Vegas?? :D
