Let's try something a little different. What if a company let you, the enthusiast, choose the final design for a product? We had some downtime at the CNC shop. So we developed a few different looks for our new fender struts. You get to pick which style we make. Vote for your favorite design. Price for the fender struts is $145/pr with hardware.

Correct..And the car's legend will continue to grow as it will be the first to receive all of Twist's future prototype parts.

69Nova 11-09-2006 11:13 AM

I like the first one.

61Bubbletop 11-09-2006 11:45 AM

Awesome!...Is that ever a site for sore eyes....I sleep well at night knowing that it is in VERY good hands, and the fact that it is getting driven regularly, and getting improved by leaps and bounds is the icing on the cake. I couldn't have asked for a better owner for it.. :captain:

Oh yeah, I like #2 as well. goes good with the rest of the billet stuff.... :)

67Sally 11-09-2006 11:48 AM

They all look good, I guess I would agree on #2 with 3 being a close 2nd. Car looks great as always. Lots of memories in that car, our circle of friends here in Michigan still can't believe he sold it! Oh well, onward and upward.

Steve1968LS2 11-09-2006 08:54 PM

#2 and they would look even better without the steps.. simpler and cleaner..

Ricochet 11-09-2006 09:50 PM

Seems to be no surprise that #2 is leading. By far the overall cleanest one of the 3. Oh yeah..The test car is alright!! Still hands down one of my favorite 69's. It's because of that car that Trush and I became friends. Then again maybe I shouldn't like it!!

I'll take some updated pix of the pace car as soon as I get a chance. TLTRacetek did an awesome job with the upgrades.

tracy 11-10-2006 09:10 AM

#2 is a winner.

Speedster 11-10-2006 02:54 PM

If you do produce #2, I will definitely buy a set. Nice.

#2 It's Straight to the point and elegant.

Derek69SS 11-10-2006 04:25 PM

Definitely #2, but if you're taking advice on how to make them look better, IMHO something should be done about the front...

I don't really like how they step down to the thin end. I think it would look cleaner if the bottom stepped up the way it does, but the top continue at its height, and have the bolt-head recessed down into it.

I know these are a purely aesthetic part, but they should look like they're doing something practical, like adding strength, and the end looks "weak" to me.

Just a suggestion from a guy who doesn't even own an F-body, no offense intended. :)

None taken. We made a conscious decision to do this poll. And we did do specifically to get feedback. That way we can deliver a part that really makes people happy.

These parts do add strength and save weight, but the advantages are minimal, so I feel silly claiming it as a benefit. As for the front part of the strut, these steps look great in person. Furthermore, they will serve a greater purpose when we expand on the "SlotCar" collection of parts. The SlotCar Collection will be a series of parts that carry a theme throughout your entire vehicle--just like on high end one-off build such as the 'cuda. Your car will look like a million bucks without having to spend a million bucks.
Depending on the part, the slots might not be enough to pull off the design. In this case the steps serve to pull the theme together. So we will probably proceed with the steps on this design--The SlotCar Collection. But we will omit them on the next design called The Turret Collection--which will be more hardcore with a drilled and chamferred design.

Thanks for all of your input everyone.
