It's been planned for a while now to sell it on Ebay. Maybe Jody should buy it back. :unibrow:

If I had not bought Malitude I would have been bidding. :unibrow:

I'd love to have it... but not worth raiding my investments or 401K for.

Someone is going to end up with a really, really cool car.

69Nova 11-15-2006 05:56 AM

One day I'm going to build a car with the same attitude as the W2W Nova. I love it and wish I was able to afford it.

Bowtieracing 11-15-2006 10:53 AM

40k now and reserve hasnt met :wow: !

Sales@Dutchboys 11-15-2006 11:09 AM

Man I love that car!

MaxHarvard 11-15-2006 01:01 PM

Hehe Suckers Bet... i get jokes.

LOL awesome car! wish i had the cash.

3kidsnotime 11-21-2006 07:06 PM

Ending in 1hr who is watching????

JamesJ 11-21-2006 07:30 PM

i dont think it will make it over $50K

3kidsnotime 11-21-2006 07:36 PM

It will be a interesting ending, A very cool car but most people that spend big bucks on cars want eye appeal, and want the guy at the stop light next to them know they spent big bucks, This is a builders car (as it is) sleeper it will be interesting

It really shouldn't.. think about it..

It's a $2000 Nova with a insane drivetrain.. How much is in the drivetrain? $30k??

I think it's a cool car but it seems like you could build similar for less. Then again maybe the drivetrain is more expensive than I thought. Certainly it's the only part of the car that has value.

Love the car though.. how did it get any traction on those tires?

I just read through the ad again.. said it was appraised at $100k? How?

So the drivetrain/chassis would cost over $95k to build? Seems a bit steep. What am I missing?

Love the car though.. Did they ever run it at the track? If so how did it get any traction on those tires?

The car has run and run hard and good, the 30k on engine trans fuel system etc as a builder you can do it but if you need to pay a shop well thats a whole nother story, but also I think the car wont bring the hard money. Any guess on reserve mine 49,999.00

1970cuda 11-21-2006 08:07 PM

nova

5 minutes $47100...

427 11-22-2006 01:01 PM

It did not make the reserve. Darn it! I guess we have to keep it now!!

still think you should sell it to me cheap! :faint: For "old times" sake!

Can you imagine me taking the neighbor I bought it from for a ride now??!!!! :wow:

Jody

427 11-22-2006 01:20 PM

That would be cool.
Ask your neighbor if he was pulled over a lot for smoking the tires, because that keeps happening to me in that car. It does not happen in my truck, just that car.....hmmmmmm.

with the awesome power of that stout 6 cylinder it had, I HIGHLY doubt he had any traction issues...............

You poor thing.. lol

Hey, how much IS the drivetrain in that car?

nitrorocket 11-22-2006 03:22 PM

That car is worth good money more for what is does. It takes alot more to make a car that works and performs, then it does to just slap parts at a car. That car make 1000 hp at the crank on pumpgas! I know with mine, it has to be a max effort build with only that in mind. It also take a very saavy tuner to get it to run properly and reliably at that power level. That is serious power!
I would guess if you called wheel to wheel and wanted a custom twin turbo motor to bolt directly into a Nova that made 1000 hp on pump completely dynoed, proven, and turn key, it would be about $35-40k. :willy:

I would also like to know, what would you charge If someone brought you a Nova W2W??? :unibrow:

Ok, so $40k for the build and $2k for the Nova.. ;)

I'm sure there was chassis work done as well. I think the car would be worth $50k with the added benefit of "celebrity status"...

They should race it more... that car just screams to be driven!

LOL...I'm guessing you never looked at the build pics that showed all the chassis work.

nitrorocket 11-22-2006 06:54 PM

I see where steve is coming from with the price. In todays day and age where flash is what counts..... that car look really bad! That is actually a pretty serious race car if you look what has all been done, but not many people car about that anymore.
But, slap some white shiny white paint on there, throw on some 19" wheels, and you have everyones dream car!! :D

427 11-22-2006 08:52 PM

The car has over 40,000 in parts cost and right around 1000 man hours to build. Building this car was like building a ship in a bottle, it sounds funny but we could not scratch the paint as it would be impossible to match. The body cost us 3000 dollars, and was worth every penny.
I have driven about 6000 miles this year testing parts and running Power tour and Drag week. We have over 150 hours just making the octane on demand work so I could run 20+psi at will, I find that a must. Manual brakes and steering, the car is a dinosaur and I love it! If a car is to be sold, it must have a price, but a cars worth has little to do with dollars to me.

You think it screams to be driven when you look at it, you should hear the voices in my head when I drive it!!

My first thought is:
When the Nova sells, what will he build next?

No, I did see but I have no idea what it all cost.. that's why I asked what the chassis and drivetrain cost.. :)

Someone else through out the $40k for the drivetrain number..

I'm not saying it isn't a cool car, but it's value certainly doesn't lie in the car itself..

For it to fetch more than this at auction you need TWO people that really dig the car and see the value of the engineering/chassis/drivetrain.

Do it.. dooooo ittttt!

lol

let the voices be your guide :)

Ever though of doing the Barret Jackson deal? Lots of deep pockets and the car does have some celebrity...

427 11-24-2006 08:31 PM

Hmmmmmmmmmm, been thinking about this and I'm not sure. One possibility does not run on gas.....
