Stuart Adams 11-22-2006 08:14 AM

XcYZ 11-22-2006 08:21 AM

RussMS 11-22-2006 09:00 AM

Turkey!

But down South we deep fry it to make it a lot worse for you and taste better. :D

Also on the side we will have Oyster dressing, fried or boiled shrimp . . . Man I am getting hungry

mdprovee 11-22-2006 09:52 AM

We always have both, but I don't like ham so it's turkey for me.

I suggested Tri Tip, or Prime Rib steaks once, but was shot down.

907rs 11-22-2006 10:09 AM

Usually both for us as well, but this year we're doing prime rib.

Derek69SS 11-22-2006 10:12 AM

Turkey sucks. :_paranoid

I wish the pilgrims had been Italian, I'd much rather have some spaghetti.

TonyL 11-22-2006 12:07 PM

My wife makes thanksgiving dinner all the time. The turkey, stuffing, pie, mashed potatoes and everything. This time we're doing two turkeys and a ham.
Fun stuff.

50lbs of bird.

Steve1968LS2 11-22-2006 12:23 PM

Turkey.. if done right :)

Ham is for Christmas and some communist holidays like May Day and such..

Ummgawa 11-22-2006 01:29 PM

A ham stuffed inside a turkey and Smoked all night. We usually rent a heart pump for the day. Every body gets a turn.

Anybody priced a dang HoneyBaked ham lately? You have to get a second mortgage on the tractor for one of those things.

Stuart Adams 11-22-2006 01:34 PM

Now if your talking honey baked ham I might change my mind. Good stuff.

Jim, that turkey on your table has no chance huh, LOL.

Ummgawa 11-22-2006 01:39 PM

Stu

we will have 25 people at my house tomorrow. In laws, Out Laws and the rest. There will not be one damn thing that will stand a chance on our table tomorrow... :D

Hdesign 11-22-2006 01:42 PM

I don't descriminate....I'll eat anything that had a mother!

I think my mom-in-law is doing both and then my mom is doing a ham on Friday.....sounds like I'll be very sleepy this weekend.

71Nova 11-22-2006 01:42 PM

Turkey twice here, but I would rather have both. Going to my parents for turkey and then my wifes parents for turkey.

zcrz 11-22-2006 02:45 PM

One ham, one oven baked turkey and one smoked turkey(big pipe)!!

1970cuda 11-22-2006 03:37 PM

mazspeed 11-22-2006 07:19 PM

Beer

JV69z/28 11-22-2006 10:08 PM

20 pounds of turkey - 13 people and way too much other food - makes you wonder who really gets stuffed.

slck6t9 11-22-2006 10:24 PM

Deep fried turkey all the way.

JayR 11-23-2006 09:41 AM

Growing up, my Grandmother thought all the juices in turkey were salmonella so she kept it in the oven untill all those dangerous juices were gone and we were all safe.....from flavor. So now, my girlfriend has to go to special measures to convince me turkey tastes good which is why it's soaking in brine as we speak to maximize the salmonella, I mean juicyness.... We dunked the bird in a mix of 1 cup sugar and 1 cup salt per gallon of water tuesday and let him soak in the juices a couple nights. If it weren't for that, I'd take a prime rib over any meat except maybe a filet.
Us deep north Yankees just found out about deep fried turkeys a few years ago and then burnt our houses down but that does make for a tasty bird but I don't have all the equipment.
At any rate, everybody enjoy your meat of choice and remember; liquor will thin out the grase in the arteries so drink up!
