Does the rear end of my car look low enough? I have DSE 3" drop springs in it and I am still not happy with how it sits. I can't go much lower or I will have issues with clearance when going over bumps. I have put about 75 miles on the car hoping they will settle some, but so far they have not. I am going to raise the coil overs on the front a little.

I guess I agree that the rear could be a bit lower, but I would not raise the front. If you cannot do anything with the rear, then leave it alone. It's still a hot car. What hits if you get it much lower? Is it the sub-frame or headers that you see under the car, I'm guessing that is your problem? I don't think springs settling would be enough. If it is the headers change them and go an inch or so lower in the rear. JMO Bada$$ car either way!

Those are your springs...unless you sold me 2" drop by mistake. lol There is no part of a stock interior in the car, so I don't know if that is affecting it. Just 2 lightweight Recaros and carpeting.

DJW, I put a 3/4" lowering block in today, but I fear that even when I roll the fender lips I will have a problem. I already have to have the tailpipes redone. I went from 2" drop springs with the 3/4" lowering blocks to 3" drop springs and it is 1/4" higher. The only other thing I changed was removing the Cal Tracs bars, but I can't imagine that had reallyanything to do with ride height.

Speed bumps be damned... leave the front the same and drop the back more.

Just from a cosmetic standpoint I'd drop the back about 1" so the fender arch is "sitting" directly on top of the tire.

Car looks really sweet with that paint & wheel combo by the way. I really want a set of those K18's for my car but now that Lexani has apparently bought out Kinesis I don't know if I can buy from them and still sleep at night...

What mechanical issues/interference will you run into (besides ground clearance) if the car goes any lower? How much bump travel would you have in back if you dropped it another inch? Since you track the car one of my prior concerns of being too low would be to verify you have adequate bump travel in back... sucks hitting the rear outside bump stop in a hard turn and having the back end pitch out on you.

I know Frank Prodigy loads them up with weight, load up the trunk with 400LBs of sand bags and let it sit for awhile

No, they're definitely 3" drop. Did you happen to tighten everything up while on jackstands? (I know, I know, but I had to ask, lol)

As soon as you fill your trunk on Power tour you will be fine....

It's not my first day on the job :lol: No, I left the spring eye bolts and the upper shackle bolts loose and set it down, bounced it a little and even drove down the street and back before final tightening.

I thought of that last night too. In 2003 with my 69, I had the ride height looking great, but when I loaded everything up to go to Nashville for PT, I had problems with tire clearance.

Here is what I ended up doing. I raised the front 1/2 inch and took the lowering blocks out of the back. I need to keep it driveable.
