Ordered my wheels! Woot!

I'm soooo excited. I just placed an order for my wheels. They are Intro V-rod's 18 x 8 and 20 x 10 with Nitto 555's. I am soooo excited to get them. I got them through a local guy who came out the other day and measured the car so they will fit properly. Hopefully he measured correctly so there will be no clearance issues. I'll post another pic in about 5-6 weeks when they show up!!!!! So that's the project update!!!!

Very Nice!

BTW...I think Steve Rupp has a trademark on "Woot!" :D

 Good choice!

Anyone know if Intro has wheels wider than 10" available? Everything I see listed is up to 10's.

Yes, made to order. Plus the price gets very expensive.

Yes they do in a standard lip hoop for a fair price. Where they get you is when you want a wheel wider than 10" in a reversed lip hoop....BIG MONEY!! At that point you mise well go with a forged wheel!!

HAULNSS 12-28-2006 07:45 AM

Good choice, Matt.

I can't wait to see them on the car.

That looks like a close up shot of Hemmoriods for:

1. A Polar Bear
2. Edgar Winter
3. That Seriously White dude on "Me,Myself and Irene"

I will respectfully rescind my 'Woot' not knowing that there would be a copyright infringement. Please replace the 'woot' with a 'Whoo Hoo' and accept my apoligies, Steve!!

Please notify me immediately if the above mentioned 'Whoo Hoo' is already trade marked and I will have my people get in contact with your people.
:D

XcYZ 12-29-2006 12:10 PM

So Steve.... when are you going to break out a :woot: in one of your articles in Popular Hot Rodding? :D

So here's a little teaser for ya on how those will look on your Impala. I got the Boyd's version of the same wheels on mine. These are only 17x7 and 18x9 though. (sorry for the crappy pics, I didn't get a good digital camera for Christmas :( )

Thanx Speedy...Actually I just picked it up this week. All the suspension was already rebuilt, and power disc brakes added. All I did so far was to put the wheels on it. Wheels are Boyds Rally's, 17x7 4"BS (5" may have been better) and 18x9 4.5" BS. Its got dropped spindles AND cut springs on the front. Unfortunatley its too low and the tires rub when making even shallow turns. I'm gonna have to put new springs in it to bring it back up just a tad. I'll need new springs anyway 'cause I'm putting in an LS1/4L60E in place of the inline 6 and powerglide. The car actually looks better in the pics than it really is, but I'm leavin' the dings and scratches just as they are (oh, I am getting new front fenders though). After I get the LS/4L package installed and running, it will get a full Air Ride system. Other than that, no more plans except drive the snot out of it

Is that a '61 bubble top? I used to have one but with the dual antennas out back! You know what they say?!!!?? Better radio reception means a faster car!!!

They will make any size up to 16" wide. But they are special order items. Here is the Pentia Style Wheel they made in 20x16 for us. $$ wasn't too bad considering.

I was on vacation in southern California this weekend and tried to visit Intro but their showroom was closed for the Holiday. it would have been cool the see all of their wheels in person!!!

I am sincerely hoping that since mine are part of their standard product line, that they will be available much sooner than 4 months.

Looks like your wheels were well worth the wait, Cam!!!

I actually spoke with Lynne a couple of times, and I did speak with Dave once. Both very cool people. At the time, I was more concerned with fitment than lead time so I didn't really press them for a ship date. I don't want to have any rubbing issues. Yes you are right...Both very cool people!!!!!!

Sweet!...Those wheels are going to look great on your car... :woot:
