HEMI Daytona Charger

Here are a few pictures of a car that I built the chassis for a couple of years ago. And now have it back in my shop. The guy tried to build the cage, sheetmetal interior and body panels and gave up because of some other problems going on. It was sold and now I'm going to finish the car for the buyer! I'm going to cut out all the cage, interior tin and body mods. Starting from where I left off with the bare chassis.

XcYZ 01-09-2007 09:34 PM

Wow.

There's no doubt it will be killer, Mark. I'd love to see more.

Tig Man 01-09-2007 09:37 PM

3kidsnotime 01-09-2007 10:15 PM

That looks killer so far, What did you do for rear glass insert, glass and stainless? more pics..

907rs 01-09-2007 11:34 PM

As always, that's some wild stuff, Mark. Keep us updated.

Payton King 01-10-2007 06:43 AM

Sweet project!!

Tig Man 01-10-2007 07:34 PM

Glass!

The previous owner had bought the repo rear window plug like the original. As for glass it'll be stock with the exception that it all will be flush mounted. No chrome at all!! One piece door glass without the vent window.

Flush mount glass, no chrome. Sounds great.

Very nice. Those rear wheel wells are huge, they make those large wheels look tiny.

crc 01-12-2007 05:17 PM

That's going to be nice. More pic's please!

Ricochet 01-13-2007 10:26 AM

No doubt will be killer. Like the direction the car is going. How will the car be finished off? Is it going to be more NASCAR (like Poteets Charger Stroupe built) or ProTouring? I hate to "label" but I think you know what I mean.

Roger Poirier 01-13-2007 01:55 PM

Wow, you have to love that car.....

Tig Man 01-13-2007 02:56 PM

Direction??

I'm going to finish up all the cage and chassis work like my old blue camaro. The new owner wants to A/C, plush interior killer stereo etc. I'll keep it posted as we go along if you'd like.

Had the pleasure of cutting out all that mess!!LOL!! Started making some tin work while waiting on cage material. Lot's of grinding to do yet.

Derek69SS 01-21-2007 01:31 PM

Cool project. Are you putting the body sheetmetal back to "stock" appearance? Looks like the doors and rear bumper area have had some odd looking mods done.

Tig Man 01-21-2007 05:04 PM

Body Mods!!

Yea, we're cutting off all the wild concept car crap!! Going after the wolf in sheeps clothing look!! The guy that started the car had some crazy ideas.

If they are not hand cut by me I've bought them from Laughlin Racing Products in Simsonville S.C. That's where I got my racing career start.
