Light at the end of tunnel getting brighter.

Finally after a year and a half I was able to take my car for a quick test spin. Now working out a few kinks. I still need to paint the car. After all the suspension mods etc, i wanted to thrash the car around awhile and not fear any road chips etc.

That is one sweet car. I see a lot the good stuff throughout. I also read your post about Paul at Hydratech and how well the brakes work.
Congrats on getting to drive it. Any more pictures? :D |
Damn Jay thats one nice ride
|
Very coool ride!!!
I see you have a 350 in the big car but whats under the hood in the little car next to the dust pan? :D |
Sweet!!!!!
But we need more pics, Jay. :D
|
looks really cool, lets see some more pics.
|
Wow man that is beautiful.
|
Nice car, looks great!
|
Looking good, man!! What's the support bar going between the fenders, like a strut-tower brace?
|
thanks for the kind words guys. Its finally coming together, but a few more kinks to work out.
I fabricated a bar and tied it into the fender support braces. I don't know how much it helps with stiffness, but I figured it couldn't hurt and I also thought it looked cool, plus it didnt take long to do. I have more pics, however they are a higher resolution. I didnt think I was going to get these pics small enough. I will take some more and send to Scott. BTW Scott, I know we had spoke before about weighing our cars. I plan to scale it very soon (hopefully in the next 2 weeks.) I am curious on much difference on front to rear weight and also want to know the cross-weight as well. Once I do scale it, I will post the figures with/without driver. Thanks again guys. Reading posts on this site and seeing all the awesome cars on this site, has continued to give me the motivation necessary to continue. |
Looks good Jay!! What seats and roll bar did you use? I like the wheels too!!
|
Anthony,
I had Kyle at DSE make me the hoop and crossbar with his stainless clevis'. The install was easy enough. I am using the Corbeau TRS cloth seats and bought extra material and had the rear sear upholstered. |
Very cool! You know, seeing Hugger Orange and knowing mine was originally Hugger Orange gets my little head spinning! :willy: But I already bought the paint so no swapping colors now.

 x a million

Awesome! You guys on this site have some fantastic cars! :hail: Maybe when I grow up I can get mine to that stage.
|
Jody,
Are you 100% sure, you dont want to rethink on the color? Just giving you a hard time. I personally think thats the hardest decision, is to decide what color. I finally decided I want mine to be red. Scott's car is what helped me decide. |
Looks great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
Yeah, It's an o.k. car - I've seen it a time or two. Pretty much just a slapped together car - probably be on ebay in a month or two for @ 100k.
(just kidding- had to do it, Jay - I have "helped" Jay on it for the past year or two and it really is a nice car. he has helped me on mine alot. we use each others cars as guinea pigs. I hope mine comes out as nice.) |
I knew it was coming :D , just a matter of time. I know..I know, somebody has to give me a hard time. Thanks for the kind words. I'm sure yours will turn out very nice.
BTW, post some pics of your car. See you tomorrow morning.......hopefully if no other problems pop up. |
I would almost be ashamed to post my junk on here w/ all the top shelf hardware here. :hail: But I'll see what I can do.
|
 Looks Great Jay! I love the look of the engine, very "Business" is you know what I mean...Great Job!
