New Project Spotlight: Payton King's 69 Camaro.
We're just getting started with the multi-page spread, but this will give you the idea of the extent of the project. There's no doubt, it's going to be a killer car.

Thanks for all of the positive responses.
I am running a small mini-tub with a 9 inch and DSE 2 inch drop rear leafs and koni shocks. Stock front rubber bushing(for ride quality) and Global West del-a-lum bushings in the rear. I am sorry to hold out on you Chris, I thought I had sent them. I will have more updated photos in a couple of weeks. Steve, you would have to be coming this weekend. I will be at the beach, but I am coming back Sunday. What time is your flight? I am sure we can get together. You are more than welcome to stay at my house if you need a place to stay. |
Wow Payton Looking good! Believe me, you are a lot farther along than most folks. Keep on truckin man, you are getting there. To quote a favorite movie:
"Was it over when the Germans Bombed Pearl Harbor...Hell No!" "Germans?..." "Forget it, He's Rolling...." |

"you are worthless and weak, drop and give me 20"

Payton
My gift to you: http://www.electricartists.com/anima...oundboard.html Every "House" fan should have it. |
thanks
See now you are going to make me go home and watch it again tonight.
Update on motor. The block is fine, going to order new pistons as I am nervous about cutting valve reliefs in the stock cast pistons and then hitting it with the spray. Going to research on the strength of the stock rods. Need a new timing chain (ls2) and new lifters. The guy screwed me out of my Comp R's. It won't be long now. |
Your motor is an ls1 right? Your running the stock water pump?
|
Hey Payton,
I cant believe you are not going to the car show and swap meet at Lowes Motor Speedway this weekend. I am planning on coming down Friday and see if you were going as well. Wanted to see your car, which is coming along VERY NICELY  . I bet Steve cant wait to take a ride in his new car. :D Steve, please let us know how it goes and give details  . |

Steve, motor is an LS1 and I am using a stock water pump...why can you get me a meizer cheap?
I am missing the show as I told my wife it was the 1st week in April so she scheduled a beach trip for the family. I will be at the year one cup april 21-24 though. Come down anytime and you can see my car. It should be back by the race track in a couple of weeks. |
 Looks Great Payton!
